It is introduced with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, a specialized Hyper Vision AI graphics chip, the brightest AMOLED screen in its class, with a 144Hz screen refresh rate and 1.5K display resolution. Couple that with a 50MP selfie, 4K60 rear video, and an enormous 7,000mAh battery and the P4 Pro appears poised to take on competitors in 2025.

Realme p4 pro unboxing image

The Realme P4 Pro is well packed to start with everything you would need. The device will be packaged with the smartphone itself, a 80W rapid charger to charge and top-up it within minutes, and a USB Type-C cable. Realme also features a clear protective cover that prevents the device against scratches, and has a pre-attached screen protection as a convenience. There is also standard paper work like the quick start guide and warranty information. Even though there are no earphones included, the package still provides a full unboxing experience to be used on a daily basis.

Design & Build Quality

Realme P4 Pro introduces a new design language into the P-series without losing its practicality. The phone comes in three colors: dark greyish green, dark teal blue and light beige. The teal and beige models have a faux wooden texture, which adds a touch to the phone that is not very common in this segment. The beige review unit was of smooth finish and was pleasant to hold. The P4 Pro is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the P3 Pro, and is only 7.68mm thick with 189 grams, which makes it comfortable to use over long periods.

The back panel is composed of plastic-acrylic composite, which is durable and at the same time ensures the weight is under control. Realme has provided edge curves on both front and back panels to allow easier grip and the flat frame ensures stability. But the chrome-polished camera-housing attracts both likes and dislikes. Its glossy appearance does not really match with the matte part frame and it disrupts uniformity of the design, yet it does introduce a different identity to the phone. The wobbling on flat surfaces that the raised bump of the module could be performing is luckily prevented and, in fact, helps in grip.

The layout of the buttons is ergonomic, which has the touch volume and power keys on the right. At the bottom, you will have the SIM tray, microphone, USB-C, and speaker grille and at the top, there are additional microphones. Another clever feature is the IR blaster that is cleverly squirreled away in one of the rear camera rings, which is practical to users who can use their phones as remotes.

The device is water and dust resistant with an IP65/66 rating with protection against high pressure sprays but cannot be immersed completely. Although it cannot compare to IP68+IP69 of the P3 Pro, it remains at the same level or higher than the durability of competitors such as the OnePlus Nord CE 5 and Nothing Phone 3a.

Display

As opposed to its competitors in the flat-screen market, the Nothing Phone 3a and the OnePlus Nord CE 5, the Realme P4 Pro will approach the market in a different way, with a quad-curved AMOLED screen. It is a design decision that makes it more immersive by integrating the frame edges into the frame but that might not suit all preferences of users. The display is 6.8 inches, and while it is substantial, it is smooth, assisted by ultra-thin bezels which provide a screen-to-body ratio of 94 percent, compared to 89.7 percent in Nord and 88 percent on the Phone 3a.

The panel gets it in the right boxes when it comes to quality. It is equipped with FHD+, a certified HDR10+, 1 billion colours, and Widevine L1 support for high-definition streaming. I was able to watch FRIENDS or a Netflix drama such as My Oxford Years without issues and the colours were natural and harmonious. YouTube can also play up to 2160p60 HDR and in our video playback test, the Realme panel performed superb in its sharp image and bold contrast. It is better than the screen of the Nothing Phone 3a, but the OnePlus Nord CE 5 is a little bit better in vibrancy and sharpness.

The actual impressive aspect is the refresh rate. Most competitors also end at 120Hz, but Realme goes further with a 144Hz adaptive panel. This refresh rate can run more than 100 games, such as BGMI, which provides an advantage to the P4 Pro to play its games more smoothly. Another strength is brightness. The panel has an average brightness of 1000 nits in Extra Brightness mode, which gives it an advantage both indoors and outdoors and edges its competitors in the segment.

Camera

Realme P4 Pro has a 50MP Sony IMX896 primary sensor with OIS that is combined with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP Omnivision OV50D selfie. The primary sensor records in either the Vibrant or Crispy mode, defaulting to Vibrant mode which captures photos with a punchy colour palette, or Crispy mode which favours natural colours. In this review, we compared the cameras to the OnePlus Nord CE 5 that has a 50MP main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, and 16MP front camera.

Daylight Photo:

During the day the Realme P4 Pro provides high quality exposure, luminous colours and a massive amount of detail. The Realme manages shadows and highlights better than the Nord CE 5, and provides more balanced images even in the cloudy weather. The Nord is however more accurate with its tones especially when it is used in a portrait shot, the images are much more natural in terms of their detection of the edges and skin tones.

Low-light Photo:

Realme is superior in low-light photographs. Both the phones work okay with respect to detail production without night mode, but in colour and exposure balance, P4 Pro takes the lead. Realme also enhances sharpness and contrast with night mode on, so it is a better choice in the evening. Notably, there is a high consistency of colour between the primary and the ultrawide camera which Nord cannot achieve.

In the case of video, the P4 Pro is equipped with 4K60fps recording at the front and rear. Rear camera captures are vivid, but low light performance with dynamic range and noise is poorer than Nord CE 5. Its front-facing 50MP camera is flexible with 4K60fps capture, but exposure control and dynamic range are inferior as compared to Nord with a 1080p 60fps capture, which, however, looks much sharper and more balanced.

The Realme P4 Pro takes advantage of daylight and low-light photos with the same success in its lenses. Although the video quality is average, Nord CE 5 has a lead in portrait shots and the video quality in general.

Performance & Software

The Qualcomm 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset used in the Realme P4 Pro has Cortex A720 and Cortex A520 cores with a maximum frequency of 2.8GHz and an Adreno GPU with a maximum frequency of 1150MHz. Buyers will have options of 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage and make it a competent performer both in day-to-day and with more demanding tasks. Apps are fast to open, it is easy to multitask, and graphics-intensive games such as Call of Duty Mobile and BGMI can run without experiencing regular frame drops.

The Hyper Vision AI chip is what indeed makes this phone special. Coupled with SoC, it improves the images with the ability to use AI Hyper Clarity, AI Always-on HDR, and AI Hyper Motion. Although these toggles provide a fluid frame rate and brighter images, it occasionally causes a Soap Opera Effect and darker images in an HDR playback. The advantages are obvious in the field of gaming, though. Using GT Mode and AI Hyper Motion, BGMI reaches Extreme+ frame rates of as much as 144Hz, which the Nothing Phone 3a and the OnePlus Nord CE5 can not. It is only subject to noticeable heating when there are long sessions.

realme p4 pro performance software image

The P4 Pro runs Android 15 on Realme UI 6.0 on the software side. Its interface is a rich feature but provides a choice of Smart Side bar, AI SmartLoop to share content, Live Alerts on the status bar, and even Heart Rate Measurement. Although the UI has 59 preinstalled applications, which is more than its competitors, most of them can be turned off when not required. Realme has also been extensively dependent on AI to make it user-friendly.

The capabilities such as AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Ultra Clarity are taking photo editing to the next level, and AI Gaming Coach and Gemini AI help with the gameplay and productivity. All in all, the speed of performance is high, AI capabilities are realistic, and the software experience is wide-ranged, but is a bit heftyweight with preloaded applications.

AnTuTu Benchmark & GeekBench Score

The Realme P4 Pro performs well on the benchmark front with figures that ensure that it is a strong mid-range device. In our test of the AnTuTu v10, we scored the handset with a mind-boggling mark of approximately 10,93,206 points in the test. This places it squarely ahead of the Nothing Phone 3a and slightly better than the OnePlus Nord CE5, demonstrating that Realme has made the correct choice when it came to using the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and even a dedicated Hyper Vision AI chip. Applications opening, switching, and multitasking were invariably smooth in everyday use, and the benchmark indicates that the stability.

Next to Geekbench P4 Pro scored 1,216 in single-core and 3,533 in multi-core. The single core score emphasizes high speeds in performing normal activities such as scrolling, typing or changing applications whereas the multi-core score demonstrates good ability to perform multiple applications simultaneously as well as processor intensive tasks such as photo editing or compressing large files.

Battery & Charger

The Realme P4 Pro has a huge 7,000mAh battery, which is capable of fast charging of 80W. The OnePlus Nord CE5 has a slightly bigger 7,100mAh cell with the same charge speed compared to its peers, whereas the Nothing Phone 3a is equipped with a smaller 5,000mAh cell and 50W charging. In our PCMark battery test, the P4 Pro lasted longer than both the competitors, which indicates that it has superb endurance in day-to-day usage.

realme p4 pro battery charging image

On light duties such as video streaming and social media browsing, the P4 Pro has a good battery life and can last the entire day without a problem. Yet, when gaming intensively like Call of Duty Mobile or BGMI, it uses more power than the Nord CE5, but does equally well in Real Racing 3.

Its fast charging is one of its best features. With the 80W charger, the P4 Pro took only 43 minutes to charge 20-100 percent compared to the Nord CE5 (47 minutes): the Nothing Phone 3a took 52 minutes.

Realme P4 Pro Price in Bangladesh

The Realme P4 Pro price in Bangladesh is BDT 38,500 (Unofficial) for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This retail price can be a little different according to the retailer, and any current promotion or import taxes.

The device also has a variety of features, such as 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, 8GB RAM and 512GB storage. It's important to note that the Realme P4 Pro is currently available through unofficial channels in Bangladesh, which means it may not come with official warranty support.

Final Word

The Realme P4 Pro is a good all-rounder with a high-quality 144Hz quad-curved AMOLED display, powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and exclusive Hyper Vision AI chip to provide a more fluent image and gaming. Its camera supports high-quality and vivid shots and the huge battery capacity of 7000mA with fast recharge of 80W is what guarantees reduced downtimes. The device is a good option in its category, despite being not as warm as it is during prolonged gaming and audio being as rich, its performance, software, and high-quality design make it a strong contender.
