Highlights
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 is the successor of the previous Note 12 and the latest late 2023 model of the popular Redmi Note series. If we observe the design, it has been enhanced, looks more minimal, tasteful, neat and contemporary with a comfortable hand grip. The rear camera has a dual setup and the center punch-hole screen has almost no bezel at all. The IP53 splash resistant 7.6mm slim body is made of plastic and the display has a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The 1000 nits sunlight display has no low brightness issue, However, we are getting Widevine L3 and a Widevine L1 support is missing.
It’s a 5G-supported smartphone that packs a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen. The rear cam has a 100 MP main lens with Samsung ISOCELL HM3 sensor and a maximum Full HD (1080p@30fps) video recording. It has no EIS but can still record impressively stable videos. There is slow-mo. and time-lapse feature as well. When it comes to the picture quality, we saw admirable, vibrant color and details. The same goes for the portrait mode. Dynamic range and edge detection are on the spot. The front punch-hole houses an Omnivision A1Q sensor 16 MP cam, which also supplies proper, natural-looking colors, details and edge detection in proper light condition. The cameras have Camera2API, manual camera or GCam support.
It comes with a typical 33W charger that takes around 1 hour for a full charge. You may get about two days backup for regular usage and about 7 hours of screen on time. A fast 6 nm MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset with 414918 AnTuTu score powers this gadget. You shall not feel any lag and have a very smooth experience. No overheating issue as well. Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5 GHz both are supported. There are 6, 8 and 12 GB RAM options, 8 GB is recommended from us if you are a gamer. There is also a virtual extended RAM option, but that’s of little help. The sound quality is good here without any distortion and has appropriate balance. The phone offers a 3.5mm jack, shared MicroSD slot, Hybrid Dual SIM, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and so on.
