Highlights
Xiaomi 13 is the main device of the 13 series smartphones by Xiaomi. It has a very likeable contemporary boxy, neat-looking design. The backside is made of glass with a glossy and mirror-like finish. Even the aluminum frame is glossy. The 6.36-inch somewhat compact Full HD+ screen has a 5th gen. Gorilla Glass protection. It has 1900 nits high peak brightness, ideal for sunlight view. There is Dolby Vision and HDR10+ in the display as well. It is 8 millimeters slim, and the body is IP68 rated waterproof.
We have seen camera samples of Xiaomi 13 and you can check them out for some hands-on review YouTube videos as well. The photos looked great both in the day and night time conditions with its 50MP main Leica camera. The dedicated night mode provides impressive lighting, clarity and details. The daytime pictures looked sharp and vivid. There is up to 8K video recording but EIS with up to Full HD (1080p) recording and the video quality is suitable as well. The selfie camera is likeable too.
The battery is 4500 mAh which may look low but thanks to Xiaomi optimization, it can provide good backup and since the display size is lower and quality is FHD+ and not QHD+, it consumes less battery. The 67W charger in the box takes about 38 minutes to fully charge it. If you decide to use the 50W wireless charging facility, it’ll take about 10 minutes more. There is not much to say about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset by Qualcomm. It is widely known as one of the leading gaming chipsets in the industry and you shouldn’t see any lacking in terms of overall performance of this device. You should receive an upgrade till Android 16 when available and five years of security patches from its initial release date.
