Now, let’s ask yourself this very honest question. What is so special about the Xiaomi 13 Pro that we’d pay such a price to buy this phone? We’ll say the very first factor is its outlook. It’s subjective, as they say, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” but we are talking about patterns of beauty, the value of material which can be recognized. This is a polished, professional-looking gadget with a premium ceramic or silicon polymer backside and a strong Gorilla Glass Victus protected display and an IP68 water resistant body. Now that’s full solidity added to the look. The phone will have three years of Android update and five years of security patches. The latest Xiaomi 14 series gives 4 years of Android update and 5 years of security updates. So, this one is slightly a bit behind in terms of that and was also released earlier.
The triple 50.3+50+50 MP Leica back camera is one of its major attractions when it comes down to the technical part. Besides the main lens with laser autofocus, there is a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3.2x optical zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide lens. So, no spammy 2 MP wasted lenses here. Then you got up to 8K video recording. The 32 MP selfie camera is, however, a little flat with maximum Full HD video recording and no advanced features, but it’s still an adequate deal.
It takes around 20 minutes to get a full charge from 0% with the 120 watt charger. There is also an additional 50W wireless charging facility, if that’s your thing. Nothing to complain about the 4 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is among the top three most powerful mobile gaming chipsets as of November 2023 (according to Nanoreview). The memory read and write speed is ultra fast with the latest UFS 4.0 technology. The sound is excellent and for the phone unlock, there is an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. So, it’s a complete Pro package. The Xiaomi 14 series is more advanced in all aspects, but if you want something on a lower budget, you can still check it out.
