Vivo in Bangladesh
Vivo officially started its Bangladesh journey in December 2017. There was no real press coverage. But their new Facebook Bangladesh page started to receive instant likes and reached a massive amount of audience within the next few months. Vivo started their journey with four phones Vivo Y53, Y65, V7, and V7+. They primarily established their showrooms and authorized dealers in Dhaka, Chittagong, Barisal, Bhola, Faridpur, Narayanganj, Mymensingh, Rangpur, and Sylhet. Because of the popularity of major Chinese brands like Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo, traditional famous Bangladeshi companies like Symphony and Walton lost a significant amount of market share in 2017 (source: futurestartup). In 2018, Vivo continued to grow in Bangladesh with successful releases like Vivo Y71, Y81 and Y81i.
