    Story Hightlights

  • Battery: Massive 9,070mAh battery, real-world performance of over 18 hours.
  • Display: The 185Hz display is one of the smoothest screens of any phone.
  • Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 features the pinnacle of power for gaming.
  • Camera: 200MP camera, with 5x zoom (real, not just digital zoom).
  • Charger: 100W fast charging, goes from empty to full in about an hour.

The Redmi K100 Pro Max is another one in the Redmi K series, which likes to go big. It is equipped with a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a super-smooth 185Hz screen and an enlarged 9,070mAh battery compared to most flagship phones. It also comes with a 200MP camera with real 5x zoom with Bose-tuned speakers. It seems that Xiaomi jammed in nearly everything it could possibly have done.

It's easy to have a good number on paper, but not on the phone every day. That's why we tested it ourselves, with games, power battery and charging speed and found out if it's really as good as it sounds. Here's what we found.

An In-Depth Review on Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max

The Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max is designed with the power users in mind, who are looking for flagship performance at a flagship price. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a large 9,070mAh battery, a fluid 185Hz AMOLED display, 200MP camera with real 5x zoom and Bose speakers. In this review, its design, display, performance, camera, battery life, price in Bangladesh, and overall value will be discussed, all of which are important aspects for both regular consumers and gamers.

Box Content

This is what you get inside the Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max box:

  • Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max Smartphone
  • 100W Charger
  • USB Type-C cable
  • Protective case
  • SIM ejector tool
  • User manual

Redmi K100 Pro Max includes all the essential elements to begin for the instant. A 100W power adapter, a SIM ejector tool and the phone itself are included in the box, along with a USB Type-C charging cable. You also don't have to purchase anything extra on day one as Xiaomi offers a protective case and a pre-installed screen protector. A quick start guide completes the package.

Design & Build Quality

The Redmi K100 Pro Max is a large phone and Xiaomi doesn't attempt to conceal it. Measuring 163.49mm in height, 77.94mm in width and weighing 238 grams, this is a two-handed device. The size will be apparent as soon as you hold it in your hands, particularly if you have a smaller phone. But for that added size there's a reason, it's how Xiaomi is able to fit in such a big battery without the phone feeling bulky.

Though large, the quality of construction is solid. The front is glass, frame is made of aluminum, so the whole feels solid and substantial, not cheap or plasticky. It's 2.45mm thick, which isn't the thinnest phone on the market, but it's not too bad for all the features it packs.

The durability is one of the best things about this. It boasts IP68/IP69 waterproof and dust-resistant capability, so it can resist dust, splashes and high pressure water jet. It is also water resistant up to 1.5m for 30 minutes, so if you drop it in the sink or if it gets caught in the rain, it will not be a problem. Either because this level of protection isn't found at this price point or because it's a solid selling-point for anyone who's rough on their devices or just wants to be covered by the peace of mind.

The color choices are kept simple with just four options – Black, White, Blue or Red – affording buyers a healthy range of options without overwhelming them.

Overall, it's designed with functionality in mind more than anything else; it is built to last, it is protected from the elements, it is obviously made to be used by the average person every day.

Display

One of the standout features of the Redmi K100 Pro Max is undoubtedly its screen. A large 6.9-inch AMOLED display boasting 1200x2608 resolution (FHD+) ensures that you're never disappointed with the quality of the images you view, whether you're checking social media, watching videos or playing games. At 416 ppi, text and images appear crisp and clear up close and the 19.5:9 aspect ratio makes it super comfortable to scroll with one hand and play full-screen videos.

The 185Hz refresh rate, however, is the aspect that really stands out. That's more than enough for most flagship phones in the market and it'll make swiping from app to app and fast-paced games seem smooth and responsive. When combined with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, the display is also easily visible in bright sunlight, making it a great option for outdoor activities.

The advantage of HDR10+ is that it provides higher colors and contrast for content that is supported on apps such as Netflix or YouTube. The punch-hole design is also carried over to the front camera, ensuring a thin bezel, and a 91.5% screen-to-body ratio, which means you're seeing more screen, less bezel.

As far as durability is concerned, the panel is shielded by Gorilla Glass which is decent against scratches and day-to-day crashes. The capacitive touchscreen will provide smooth multi-touch operation, and feels responsive during normal use and while gaming.

In general, this is a smoothness-oriented, bright, and modern on display that's nearly bezel free.

Camera

The Redmi K100 Pro Max features a triple rear camera system of which the 200MP sensor is the main sensor and it has an f/1.68 aperture which is one of the widest apertures available on a smartphone today, allowing more light to be captured to create brighter, clearer pictures. This is complemented by a 50MP periscope telephoto camera (f/3.0) and a 50MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.4), ensuring you have the flexibility you need for a variety of subjects, from landscapes to portraits and everything in between. Both the main and the telephoto lens features OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) that helps minimize the occurrence of blur when shooting with the camera held in hand, while all three cameras are equipped with autofocus.

Of course, Zoom is a plus here up to 100x digital zoom, and the quality of the optical zoom (from the periscope lens) will be quicker to look sharp than the higher digital zooms. The camera app also comes with a host of tools, including exposure compensation and ISO control options, as well as handy features such as Super Night Mode, Cyber Focus for subject tracking, Pro Mode, Document Mode and Time-lapse.

Daylight Photo:

The sensor is relatively large at 200MP, and the maximum aperture is f/1.68, which means that shots taken in the daylight should be sharp, detailed and well exposed, and the inbuilt HDR support provides good dynamic range. Colours will appear bright and natural in good lighting, and the periscope telephoto will likely be effective for zoomed in daytime shots with minimal loss of detail.

Low-Light Photo:

The main camera's 2.02-inch oxygen level will also allow for increased light to reach the camera under low-light conditions, as it has a wide aperture of f/1.68, which is larger than the other phones' narrow ones. Low light shots should also be clearer in low light with the addition of Super Night Mode, and they should be less noisy. That said, like most phones, the ultra-wide and telephoto optics will probably not fare as well in low-light situations as the main optics, as they have less overall light exposure.

On the front, a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture is used for video calling and selfie photography, and can shoot up to 4K video recording, which is decent for a front camera.

Video can be recorded at a maximum quality of 8K (7680x4320), in addition to 4K and 1080p options at 30fps and 60fps. That's a major spec for content makers that need versatility in post-production.

Performance & Software

The Redmi K100 Pro Max is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which is based on the 3nm process. Basically, a smaller manufacturing process like this will typically lead to better performance and lower power usage, which means you get the performance without sucking up the battery too quickly.

The octa-core CPU configuration consists of two big 4.6GHz CPUs and six medium 3.62GHz CPUs. This blend helps the phone run smoothly with more load to perform heavy-duty tasks such as gaming or video editing and ensure it performs well on lighter and easier tasks. It's not only 64-bit, the standard of today's high performance phones, but it's also an ARM 64-bit architecture.

The Adreno 840 GPU is paired with the CPU to provide a smooth game experience, particularly with the phone's high refresh rate display. This hardware combination is designed to ensure speed and low lag times, whether you're gaming or multitasking among apps.

On the software front, it's powered by Android 16 with Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 over it. This will give you the newest Android features in addition to Xiaomi's additions, animation and system features. HyperOS is a lightweight and optimised platform, allowing for the phone to run snappy in everyday usage instead of cumbersome with unnecessary bloat.

In general, this is the kind of chipset that suits the users looking for high-end performance in their phones, whether playing games, handling multitasking or just wanting to know their handset would support the next couple of years' software updates.

AnTuTu Benchmark & Geekbench

The Redmi K100 Pro Max gets an impressive 4079636 on the AnTuTu benchmark 11 test, which is where flagship-level performance would be expected, with good results in the CPU, GPU, memory and UX performance categories. Geekbench 6 scores 3,662 points single-core and 11,299 points multi-core, which means it will be quite responsive for everyday use, while also having solid multitasking power.

In layman's terms, these scores indicate that the phone is capable of supporting heavy gaming activities, multitasking and demanding applications without breaking a sweat. Note: Benchmark numbers will be slightly different depending on the software and testers, but overall, it's a very high end machine that will be able to handle anything you throw at it.

Battery & Charger

The Redmi K100 Pro Max truly excels in battery life. It is powered by an out-of-the-ordinary 9,070mAh Li-Ion battery, larger than the vast majority of flagship phones. In real-world testing, this meant more than 18 hours of screen-on time, allowing you to go through an entire day, or even two, without having to resort to a charger.

Even though it is a huge capacity, charging is quick. The phone is compatible with 100W charging and 100W PPS, QC3+ and PD3.0, which can charge it from 0 to 100% in about an hour. It also has 50W wireless charging, which means you don't need to worry about wires if you prefer to charge it on a pad.

In addition, it's also equipped with a convenient 27W reverse wired charging support, allowing you to charge devices such as earbuds or a smartwatch using the phone when necessary. As typical on contemporary handsets, the battery is not removable and the charging is done completely via the USB Type-C port.

Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max Price in Bangladesh

Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max is offered in Bangladesh for unofficial price of ৳89,000/- for 12GB+256GB. Imported from the China market, not officially launched, so prices may vary with the retailer, availability and import costs. When purchasing, make sure to research the most up-to-date prices and warranties from local retailers.

Final Word

The Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max has showed you that you can get flagship performance without the price tag of a flagship. It has a massive battery, a 185Hz refresh rate, a strong chipset and a truly functional zoom camera. Not perfect, it's big, heavy and has no headphone jack, but for gamers and power users looking for some serious specs with a lower premium price tag, it's hard to beat.
