The Tecno Spark 40C was something that attracted my attention primarily due to its affordable cost and unexpectedly modern specifications. Having tried it out for several days, I concluded that it is a good option to use in daily activities, such as social media, YouTube, and calls. The 6.67-inch screen at 120Hz refresh rate is smooth to scroll and the big 6000mAh battery can easily last over a day.
It is also stylish and durable to hold. The camera is however average, particularly in low light and the 4GB RAM can be a little slow when multitasking. Nevertheless, it is highly valued at its price in Bangladesh.
Tecno Spark 40C is the latest low-end smartphone that was officially released in Bangladesh on 17 July 2025. The phone may not be expensive to acquire but it comes with some flashy features and a sleek design that can rival any other phone in this bracket.
It has a lot of value, including a smooth 120Hz display and an enormous 6000mAh battery. However, it is not without its faults just like any other phone. In this review, I will consider the Tecno Spark 40C price in Bangladesh and its advantages and disadvantages. Let’s begin.
Having the Tecno Spark 40C in my hand, I was pleasantly surprised with its premium feel, given that it is a budget phone. The back panel is smooth matte and does not attract fingerprints easily and the camera module is bold yet clean that makes the phone look modern. I applied Mystery White color and it was noticeable, it is clean and fashionable but not too shiny.
The phone is also light in weight and can be held even in long periods. It has curved sides which are easy to hold and the button placements are just perfect to be used by one hand. Among the most notable characteristics in this part is its IP64 rating that makes it resistant to dust and light splashes. I have even been caught in the rain once when talking on the phone and it did not have any problems with the moisture. It also purports to be able to survive a fall of up to 1.5 meters and although I did not deliberately drop it, it did fall off my bed once without getting a scratch, which is encouraging.
The fingerprint sensor on the side is quick and accurate, and the general construction does not seem to be low-end. On the front, Tecno also added protection with Gorilla Glass, which brings an additional level of strength.
Nevertheless, a couple of negatives are present as well. The back is good but it is plastic which might not be as solid as glass or aluminum phone. The frame is a little bit generic as well, not bad but not outstanding either. Though the phone is splashproof, it is not completely waterproof, so it would be better to avoid getting it too wet.
I have tried Tecno Spark 40C and its screen was surprisingly good at this price. Noise is more apparent when light dies out. Shots in low light are not detailed and clear and the camera does not hold bright spots well, particularly indoors. This is normal at this price bracket but it is evident when you want clear photographs in low light.

The 4GB of RAM is one of the shortcomings since multitasking can be restricted. Although Tecno provides virtual RAM to assist, this is not exactly similar to having a larger physical memory. Depending on how many apps you like to have open or rapidly switch between heavy apps, you may experience some lags or app reloads.
Software updates are another point to consider. Tecno is not a very consistent company when it comes to updates, and you might not receive the latest versions of Android or security patches as promptly as on other brands. This might impact long term performance and security.
The Tecno Spark 40C has good overall functionality as a daily driver with a convenient set of AI features and a recent Android version. It does not have problems with general activities but can be a little slow with intense multitasking or games. It is a feature-rich software that can be smoother and the update support may not be the best.

These benchmarks indicate that the Spark 40C is competent in its category, but it should be remembered that the performance may differ depending on the usage pattern and software optimization. The Spark 40C is a decent choice of users who want an affordable machine that can effectively perform their day-to-day tasks.
I have been using the Spark 40C as my main phone and its 6000 mAh Li-Polymer battery is a highlight of a low-end phone. It got me through a full day of browsing, video and calls, and then into a second day on light usage.
It has 18W fast charging through USB-C to charge the phone to full in approximately 1.5-2 hours. That is quite expected of this segment, but it is considerably slower than newer phones with 30W or 45W charging.
Although the battery can last long, it is reliable in normal use, but the charging speed may be restrictive when you are in a hurry. Neither does it have ultra-fast charging technology even on other low-end models today.
I have used a lot of cheap phones in this price range of 12,000-13,000 Taka but the Spark 40C is different.
