When it comes to slim phones, you're typically faced with the decision of style versus endurance. The Tecno Camon Slim 5G is an attempt to break thatequation, being available in the Bangladesh market on 1 September 2026. Battery, AMOLED screen with 6000mAh, IP68/IP69K water & dust resistance at only 6.39mm thick, sliding into a pocket like a wallet card.

The Dimensity 7300e and 50MP OIS camera on paper would seem to make this more phone than its price. However, spec sheets don't reveal a phone's real day-to-day experiences. So, let's see if the Camon Slim 5G delivers on its slim specification.

An In-Depth Review on Tecno Camon Slim 5G

The Tecno Camon Slim 5G is designed for the user who wouldn't like to carry a premium look heavy phone. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor, it features a 6000mAh battery, a 144Hz AMOLED display, 50MP OIS camera, and IP68/IP69K IP rating, which is housed in a 6.39mm frame. This review features its design, appearance, performance, cameras, battery life, price in Bangladesh, and value to daily users.

Box Content

This is what you get inside the Tecno Camon Slim 5G box:

  • Tecno Camon Slim 5G Smartphone
  • 45W Charger
  • USB Type-C cable
  • Protective case
  • SIM ejector tool
  • User manual

It's a very straightforward device here, thanks to Tecno. Upon opening the box, you'll get the Camon Slim 5G device, a 45W charging adapter, the usual quick-start guide and warranty card, a USB Type-C cable, and a protective case with a SIM ejector pin. No frills, no frills and no frills, just what you need to get started with no fuss and no frills at all. It's a utilitarian package as functional and as simple as the phone itself.

Design & Build Quality

You start to notice how little you're holding when you grab the Camon Slim 5G. With a thickness of 6.39mm, it's one of the thinnest phones at this price, and it's no exaggeration to say that it does change the way the phone feels in your pocket, it's virtually flat, and the phone itself feels pretty light in the hand. It's a pretty standard 6.78-inch display, though at 77.27mm, it's a relatively thin unit.

What is remarkable here is that no compromises on durability have been made by Tecno to get here. This is a phone that's rated IP68 and IP69K: this indicates that it can be immersed in water up to 2 meters deep for 30 minutes, which is typically only done by rugged or flagship phones. It's also dust-proof, which means you won't have to worry about rain, spills or a dusty commute.

The build is firm (not flexy or hollow) which can be an issue with ultra-thin phones. Tecno has surely put in a lot of effort to ensure that slim does not imply fragile.

When you look, you'll appreciate three color options: Matisse Black, Van Gogh Blue and Burgundy Red. The finish on each phone is not standard, but done with intent, which adds some character to the phone beyond the thinness of its shell.

In general, this is a phone that shows a rare combination of thin and not fragile.

Display

Once you switch on the screen, the Camon Slim 5G outshines its low cost. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution of 1208x2644 px, which offers deep blacks, vibrant colors and crisp text, something that was only available on more expensive phones in the past. AMOLED is also easier on the eyes and looks stunning on your screen, whether you're enjoying videos or social media or reading a book in the comfort of your bed on a late-night reading session.

But the most impressive is the 144Hz refresh rate. After spending some time at this speed you won't want to slow it down again, scrolling through pages is buttery smooth, the animation effects play out smoothly, and even swiping between home screens feels more responsive. The added fluidity will be particularly welcomed by gamers who play fast paced games.

Tecno has also maintained the contemporary look with the punch-hole selfie camera, thus keeping the bezels slim and the screen-to-body ratio high, there's very little wasted space around the edges. It provides the phone with a clean and modern appearance that will not appear dated.

To protect it, the display is covered with Gorilla Glass, which makes it somewhat scratch resistant and durable against drops. The touch screen is capacitive and supports multi touch, meaning gestures, typing, and gaming inputs are felt and registered smoothly and accurately.

In all, this is a vivid, quick and contemporary display that provides an adequate amount of protection to last a lifetime, without being over-babied.

Camera

The Camon Slim 5G is equipped with a dual rear camera system featuring a 50MP f/1.8 sensor based on Sony's Lytia 700C sensor, which is a good option for a mid-ranger. It will also come with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens for landscapes and group photos. The most notable here is the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) function for the main camera, which is usually not found at this price. In addition to improving the sharpness of photos and videos, OIS minimizes the effects of shaky hands, particularly in low-light situations.

The camera features useful features such as AF, LED flash, HDR, continuous shooting, exposure compensation, and ISO control, providing some manual control without sacrificing user-friendliness. Quick and intuitive shooting with touch to focus and face detection capabilities, as well as the digital zoom for "just a little closer".

Daylight Photo:

As for the 50MP main sensor, it should provide crisp detail, accurate colors, and a pleasant dynamic range in good lighting, where the Lytia 700C's f/1.8 aperture and larger sensor should be of great benefit, due to the camera's support of HDR. Images will probably appear well-pressed right out of the camera, perfect for snapshots and social sharing.

Low-light Photo:

This is where OIS keeps its services. Low-light photos should be pretty stable and sharp thanks to the stabilization and because the f/1.8 aperture allows in more light than most phones without OIS. With that being said, if there are no plans to include a night mode in the spec sheet, you should be prepared for some softness and noise in extremely dark situations, which is quite common for this price range.

Front-facing, the 32MP selfie camera does a decent job with video calls and portraiture – it's enough to make for sharp and natural-looking selfies up front.

The only thing the Camon Slim 5G lacks is video. There is no 4K recording with either camera, though that is not the case with some in this price range. There is no 4K on either camera here, which is one step back from some of the competitors in this price range. It's absolutely fine for casual social media videos and everyday video, but content creators with a more demanding need for sharp, detailed video footage may find this to be limiting.

Performance & Software

Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, an octa-core processor, the Camon Slim 5G is manufactured using 6nm power-saving technology. It uses four performance cores (2.6GHz Cortex-A78), four efficiency cores (2.0GHz Cortex-A55), and a Mali-G610 GPU for graphics. In simple terms, that's a chipset that's meant to perform well in regular everyday applications, not to beat records.

To the average user, that means a phone that doesn't break a sweat, as the responsive switching between apps, the quick scroll through the web browser, a suite of social media, video calls, and streaming make it feel natural, even with 144Hz refresh rates. Light to moderately complex games are also easy to play, with casual and midrange games performing well, but heaviers, graphical games may struggle to run at full settings.

This won't be a good fit for competitive or premium smartphone gaming. The Dimensity 7300e is more of a chip designed for balance and efficiency than for top-tier graphics and frame rates.

The software on the phone is preloaded with Android 16 with Tecno's in-house HIOS 16 skin. It means you'll receive the newest Android capabilities and also some of the additions that Tecno has made to their Android skins, which can be valuable in some instances and merely additional visual polish in others, much like the majority of heavily skinned Android interfaces. The 64-bit architecture is compatible with future and modern applications, thereby providing future-proofing for the next couple of years.

In summary, it is a chipset that's designed to fit the phone's purpose and use well, rather than a gamer's desire for that last frame.

Battery & Charger

It's here that the Camon Slim 5G makes a stealthy appearance. The 6000mAh Li-Polymer battery is no easy fit to pack into a 6.39mm thick body, but Tecno did it without compromising on the phone's bulkiness or weight. In real-life use, that should easily last most people a full day, even if they spend a lot of time on screen, thanks to the AMOLED display's power-saving attributes.

The 45W wired fast charging is a sweet middle-ground, fast enough to get you from 0 to usable in a short time, but not so mad as to cause the battery to undergo an unnecessarily high rate of charge over time.

The USB Type-C 2.0 port continues to support the standard and convenient charging and transferring of data, however, it is also worth noting that there is no wireless charging here, which is somewhat of a compromise for this slim, budget-friendly phone.

As with modern slim designs, the battery is non-removable, which is for durability and waterproofing; it is not for ease of use.

Overall, this's a battery configuration that focuses on real world battery endurance over flashy charging numbers and most users should go with that.

Tecno Camon Slim 5G Price in Bangladesh

Tecno Camon Slim 5G has been officially launched in Bangladesh with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant at the price of ৳59,999. For this price, it features a 144Hz AMOLED display, a 6000mAh battery, OIS camera, and IP68/IP69K waterproofiness, a robust feature set for the money. It is in the higher middle range competition with phones of similar specifications, and offers a decent choice for users who prefer distinctive design over the high-end price.

Final Word

The Tecno Camon Slim 5G is a testament to the notion that you don't need to sacrifice on style and substance. It's thin, durable and definitely a standout, but still offers a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, all-day battery life and solid OIS-enabled camera. Far from one of the most hardcore phones or the 4K video enthusiast, this is one of the smartest at ৳59,999 for those who want a phone to look premium and perform reliably.
