Story Hightlights
I just received the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G and I have been using it as my primary phone over the last couple of weeks. Being a person who loves mobile photography and smooth performance, I was eager to find out how this phone, which is an upper mid-range model, will perform in the real world.
Quality of camera to battery and display, I have considered all the aspects of this phone. I will talk about what I truly felt about the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G in this review and what impressed me and where I think it can do better. Okay, let us begin.
An In-Depth Review on Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G
Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G is an upper mid range device in Bangladesh that is stylish yet powerful. It has a slim 7.3mm body with a colorful 6.78″ 144 Hz AMOLED display, a decent 50MP dual-camera setup, and a long-lasting 5200 mAh battery with 45W fast charging. It is suitable for general and multimedia use having good features that are very compatible with the Tecno Camon 40 Pro price in Bangladesh.
Box Content
This is what you get inside the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G box:
- Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G Smartphone
- 45W Fast Charger
- USB Type-C cable
- Protective Case
- SIM ejector tool
- User manual

Upon opening the box of the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G, it all seemed well packed. Together with the phone, there was a 45W fast charger, USB-C cable, a transparent protective case, and a SIM ejector tool. Tecno also came with a screen protector that was already applied and this saved me the cost to purchase a separate screen protector. It also came with a little paperwork such as the warranty card and user guide. I was surprised with how complete the box was, considering its price, there was nothing left to be surprised about, just everything to get you going. It was a good value at first sight.
Design & Build Quality
I have had the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G with me for a couple of weeks now, and I would go ahead to say that it is one of the most elegant-looking phones in its category. It is slim and sleek with just 7.3 mm thickness with a curved AMOLED display that looks premium in the hand. The back is also matte textured which is a nice addition and avoids fingerprints, making it neat. To my surprise, it is light and therefore I can use it over a long period of time.
The Camon 40 Pro 5G is superior to the other phones on the market such as the Redmi Note 13 Pro and Realme Narzo 70 Pro due to its sleek curved display and super-thin design. The majority of the phones at this price point feel chunky or appear more budget like but this phone has a premium feel. The IP68/IP69 water and dustproofing is also a nice touch that gives a certain sense of relief about the daily use, it is not completely waterproof however.

The construction is good, but it is possible to mention some weak spots. To begin with, the phone has a plastic frame, which is not as high-end as metal constructions. The Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection is also nowhere mentioned, so a case and a screen protector are strongly advised. The curved screen is also very beautiful but it is prone to accidental touches, particularly when using it with one hand.
Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G has very good design and build quality at the given price. It looks nice, it is light and comfortable to touch. Although it has several small disadvantages such as the plastic frame and screen foibles, the general design is able to hold its own or even exceed most of its competitors within the same price range. This phone is worth considering in case you want a premium-looking phone without having to pay a huge sum of money.
Display
Within weeks of using the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G, I have to say that its display is one of its strong points. It has a 6.78 inch AMOLED Curved display with 144Hz refresh rate that makes scrolling and gaming quite smooth. It is colorful and even under harsh sunlight the screen remains readable. Viewing videos on this phone is a pleasure - it is almost like a small theatre in your pocket.
Compared to other phones in this price range, like the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ or the Infinix Zero 30 5G, the Camon 40 Pro 5G holds its own. While the Redmi offers a slightly brighter panel, Tecno’s curved display gives it a more premium feel. The 144Hz refresh rate is also higher than what most competitors offer at this price.

Nevertheless, it is not ideal. It lacks a microSD card slot, which could be a drawback in case you are storing much media. Additionally, the display is excellent, but it is not HDR certified, and you will not be able to take full advantage of the dynamic range in certain streaming applications.
Nevertheless, the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G offers more than satisfactory display experience at its price. It is a great phone to have when you enjoy watching content, game, or simply would like to have a phone that would feel and look more expensive than it actually is. In case video quality is one of your priorities, this phone should certainly be in your consideration.
Camera & Video
The video and camera of this phone are one of the best I have ever encountered in this price range. The pictures appear clear and crisp regardless of the time of the day, indoors or outdoors.
Its back features a primary 50-megapixel camera, which has optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Photos that are captured during sunny days depict bright colors and broad dynamic range. The person is cleanly separated with the background using portrait mode and skin colors appear natural. Photos remain clear and sharp even in low light of the room.
Daylight Photo:
The picture indicates the effectiveness of this Camon 40 Pro 5G in capturing colors, and the texture details in outdoor conditions. It is easy to see the crispness of textures and the naturalness of the sky and vegetation.

Low-light Photo:
This is an excellent illustration of the low-light capability of the phone. Its exposure and clarity can be good even at low light, and its levels of noise are minimal, as well as color precision.
The Camon 40 Pro 5G has a 50MP front camera with the Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) that provides crisp and colorful selfies. The focusing is also very sharp, and despite holding the phone in various angles the autofocus will still be very precise. Selfies in good light have the benefit that skin tones are natural and that colors are reproduced well. But when the situation is low-light, the noise might be apparent, but the findings are still usable.

The phone supports 4K recording at 60 frames per second which is uncommon even among the phones in this price range. The shots are clear and smooth in the daytime. Stabilization is not flawless and perfect, and you can see some shake when you move. The video quality diminishes in the low-light setting; you are able to observe noise, and focus can seek the appropriate subject.
Comparing the Camon 40 Pro 5G with the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ and the Infinix Zero 30 5G does not leave it behind or in some aspects better like selfie quality and low light camera performance. The only weaknesses are absence of zoom lens and improved stabilization and rapid focus under harsh light situations.
Performance & Software
Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G can be described as a balanced smartphone that can be used in daily life activity and moderate gaming experience, but it lacks a few features.
The phone has been powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset which makes it perform smoothly in its daily functions such as browsing, streaming and multitasking. Nonetheless, when playing a game intensively, such as Genshin Impact, the device can drop frames, and changes might be required to ensure the smooth flow of the game.
It has Android 15 and TECNO HiOS 15 skin. Although there are users who complain of a nice and responsive interface, others have complained of sluggishness and unpredictable app downloads, which can be undesirable to the user experience . Coming to the pros, TECNO promises three significant OS updates, as well as five years of security patches, which is a respectable offering in this price segment.

Compared to Infinix Zero 40 5G that comes with a more powerful Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset, Camon 40 Pro 5G is not left behind in carrying out daily tasks but could be left behind in high-performance activities.
One of the disadvantages is that it does not have a microSD card slot which reduces the storage expansion. The absence of 5G support is also a possible factor to consider by those who want to have connectivity that is future-proof.
To conclude, the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G is a decent device with solid performance and intuitive software experience, which should suit the needs of users who do not need an extreme gaming experience and prefer to use software that can last long.
AnTuTu Benchmark & GeekBench Score
I have run through the Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G and this is what I noticed. It scored approximately 700,000 points (between 640K and 700K in various tests) on AnTuTu Benchmark v10. That makes it among the best 25 percent of smartphones, beating a good number of mid-range models, such as the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. On GeekBench 6 it achieved solid numbers of approximately 1,028 (single-core) and 3,240 (multi-core) which are good results in its category.
The majority of competitors with the same price range, like using Dimensity 8200 or Snapdragon 778G chip, have better benchmark scores, yet they are more expensive. The Camon 40 Pro 5G offers excellent performance at its price range and will not slow down when used on a daily basis. It can even place itself alongside some of the older flagship models such as Galaxy S20 FE in AnTuTu benchmarks.
Although multi-tasking and casual gaming are performed very well, the phone has certain limitations when it comes to heavy 3D gaming: GPUs are not capable of running games like Genshin Impact or Zenless Zone Zero on ultra settings, and medium settings need to be chosen instead. Additionally, it has 5G, but the absence of expandable storage might be a limitation to those who download big applications or games.
Battery & Charger
The Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G is equipped with a battery capacity of 5,200 mAh, powerful enough to be used on a daily basis. Personally, it comfortably lasts all day on mixed work (social media, video, calls), and it can even be extended into a second day by light users.
It is compatible with 45 W wired charging, having a charger in the box. Tecno advertises 0-50 in 23 minutes and full in 43 minutes; real tests full charge is between 70 and 90 minutes . As an illustration, one of the reviewers received 65 percent in half an hour and a complete charge in more than one hour.

It also has an intelligent bypass charging: when you are playing or watching something, the power directly to the phone, heats up less, and preserves the battery. Tecno states that it will retain more than 80 percent of its capacity beyond 1,800 cycles or approximately five years.
The battery of the Camon 40 Pro is durable and dependable to normal users. Its fast charging is fine although not the best of the class and it lacks wireless charging.
Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G Price in Bangladesh
Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G was released in Bangladesh in the first week of July 2025 with an official price in Bangladesh is BDT 34,999 on the 8GB + 256GB 5G variant. It also has a 4G only variant which costs BDT 27,999.
This puts the Camon 40 Pro 5G into the upper mid-range segment that is more affordable than the flagship phones, but still has more features than a lot of entry-level models. It has a slim design, 50 MP OIS cameras, 144 Hz AMOLED display, and 45 W fast charging and hence is a good value-for-money phone in its category. Taking into consideration its specifications and official prices, it can be enjoyed by users who want to possess premium but not high-end features.
Final Word
Tecno Camon 40 Pro 5G is a good upper mid-range phone with an amazing AMOLED Curved display, good cameras and fast performance. It is good at handling day-to-day tasks and has a premium look at the price. Nevertheless, it does not have wireless charging and a telephoto lens, and you cannot play games on the highest settings without problems. Nevertheless, at its price, it makes a good value choice, when seeking a good-looking 5G phone with a solid battery and decent general usability.
