When it comes to specs, the Reno14 Pro has nothing to complain about, but beyond that, Oppo’s attention to detail and user oriented features make it stand out in a crowded market. In this review, I will take a dive into how well Oppo's latest powerhouse does balancing speed, aesthetics and everyday usability to see if it really lives up to all the hype.

An In-Depth Review on Oppo Reno14 pro

The latest Reno series phone Oppo Reno14 Pro is brought to the market by Oppo. As always, there has been a buzz in the market for the Reno series. If you are planning to buy Oppo Reno14 Pro then check it out below. I’ll try to put the Oppo Reno14 Pro price in Bangladesh and the pros and cons.

Box Content

This is what you get inside the Oppo Reno14 Pro box:

  • Oppo Reno14 Pro Smartphone
  • 80W VOOC Charger
  • USB Type-C cable
  • Protective Case
  • SIM ejector tool
  • User manual

Oppo Reno14 Pro unboxing was a great experience. The premium device inside was hinted at by the elegant packaging. When I opened it, the Reno14 Pro came inside and was very tightly packed. It had an 80W SuperVOOC charger and USB A to USB C 1 meter cable to charge at blazing speed.

The case was designed to be transparent, so that if you do want some protection you get it without really hiding that sleek design on the phone. The SIM ejector tool and essential documentation were set up in a nice organized manner, so there was little to no setup.

The good news is there are no earphones as it's with current industry trends, but there's pre pre-applied screen which is an extra layer of convenience. Generally speaking, however, the unboxing experience was a good sign ahead of what the Reno14 Pro ultimately aims to provide.

Design & Build Quality

Oppo Reno14 Pro is a device that does grab one’s attention. You can feel the premium craftsmanship the moment you pick it up. It’s elegant and durable with the glass back, reinforced with Crystal Shield Glass. The reassuring sturdiness of the metal frame and the feeling of solid yet lightweight in hand provide the phone a solid feel.

At 7.5mm thick and 201 grams, the Reno14 Pro is incredibly thin and light while still being sturdy. The front is almost all display, thanks to the 90.1% screen to body ratio and you're immersed in its 6.83-inch AMOLED panel. Slim bezels make for a modern look and the in display fingerprint scanner ensures that unlocking is seamless, without ruining the design.

It is also one of its standout features that it has IP69 rating which makes it to withstand high pressure water jet and immersion up to 2 meters for 30 mins. It’s a rare level of protection for a mid range device, so this is a reliable companion for unpredictable environments.

But nothing is ever perfect. The matte glass finish prevents fingerprints, but is slippery, so a case is almost a must. Also, although made out of premium materials, the flat edges might not be as ergonomic for long use as the curved designs.

On the whole, the Oppo Reno14 Pro is a gorgeous, well put together device that feels as premium as it looks. The phone has been designed to make people impressed, but it wouldn’t hurt to hold it a little firmly.

Display

The Oppo Reno14 Pro has a screen, but it's an experience. The 6.83-inch AMOLED panel is as inviting as soon as you unlock it, with its 1272 x 2800 resolution and 450 ppi density. From cinematic masterpieces to bright social feeds, every pixel feels as if it was handcrafted.

It’s the magic of the 120Hz refresh rate. It scrolls effortlessly, games are fluid and animations slide across the screen with a level of smoothness that’s hard to ignore. The adaptive refresh rate is efficient on the battery while staying responsive.

It is another strong suit: brightness. Outdoor visibility is clear as day (or sunlight), even at a peak brightness of 1200 nits. HDR10+ support helps to increase contrast and push colors to pop with a quality that feels immersive.

But there’s no such thing as a perfect display. The Crystal Shield Glass is solid protection, but without the latest Gorilla Glass iteration, it’s a little more susceptible to micro scratches. In addition, though the DCI P3 color accuracy is great, some users may find the default color tuning a little too saturated.

While not perfect, the Oppo Reno14 Pro’s display is a showstopper, immersive, responsive and for those who want the best visuals it’s built for. Whatever you’re gaming, streaming or just appreciating the screen for, it doesn’t disappoint.

Camera

How seriously does the Oppo Reno14 Pro take mobile photography? From the second you turn on the camera, you’ll be impressed by the triple lens setup of three 50MP sensors. With optical image stabilization (OIS), the main sensor takes crisp, detailed shots while ensuring your images are blur free even in low light. It has a 3.5x optical zoom telephoto lens which allows distant subjects to appear sharp, without compromising on quality. And while the ultrawide lens has a 116° field of view, no detail is left behind.

Daylight Photo:

Under bright conditions, the Reno14 Pro's 50MP main sensor blurs out noise and delivers lively, sharp images. The dynamic range balances highlights and shadows and colors are rich without being oversaturated. The ultra wide lens stays true to the colour and detail making it good for landscape shots.

Low-Light Photo:

The Reno14 Pro does very well in low light scenarios. It’s all thanks to the large sensor and AI enhancements which reduce noise and keep the detail, providing clear and sharp images. Further, Night mode also increases brightness and clarity, so photos taken in low light are not of poor quality.

Video enthusiasts will love the 4K recording at 60FPS, along with OIS and EIS stabilization for handheld shots. The Bokeh mode enhances videos with cinematic depth, with subjects having a striking look. But even though it can record at 240FPS at 1080p, there’s no higher frame rate to be had, as is the case with some of its competitors.

On the front, there's an equally impressive 50MP front camera, with sharp selfies accompanied with AI beauty enhancements. The default color tuning can sometimes feel a bit too saturated, but if there’s one drawback.

The Oppo Reno14 Pro is an overall powerhouse, versatile, intelligent and built for those who aspire for professional grade mobile photography. Whether it be photos or videos, this setup guarantees you will always have a shot worth sharing.

Performance & Software

The first time I turned on the Oppo Reno14 Pro I was taken by how fluid and responsive it was. Under the hood it houses the Mediatek Dimensity 8450 chipset, along with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This combination makes it all seem smooth and apps open without hesitation. I was able to stream high definition videos, play graphics intensive games or even juggle a number of apps and the Reno14 Pro handled it all with ease.

It’s a treat to play on this device. With an OLED 6.83-inch display and 120Hz refresh rate, plus a 240Hz touch sampling rate, you get nice smooth visuals and quick touch inputs. The Game Space feature provides a performance optimized feature that efficiently allocates resources, reduces frame drop and improves the overall gaming experience.

oppo reno14 pro performance software image

The Reno14 Pro runs ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 on the software front. Navigation is a joy thanks to dynamic lighting effects and natural motion animations, all of which makes the interface intuitive. The XiaoBu Assistant is AI powered assistance and the new ODialer is a new Google dialer to provide a more integrated experience.

But some users have reported a few software glitches, e.g occasional delayed notifications or minor bugs which may also be fixed in future updates.

All in all, the Oppo Reno14 Pro has a good performance that is boosted by strong hardware and various software improvements. Although minor areas to improve exist, the whole experience is smooth, responsive and pleasant.

AnTuTu Benchmark & GeekBench Score

The Oppo Reno14 Pro hit impressive benchmark scores when I ran benchmark tests on it. It managed to earn 1,675,507 on AnTuTu benchmark v10 which puts it in the top ranks of smartphones and has it outperforming 92% of devices on the platform.

Using Geekbench 6, the Reno14 Pro scored 1,617 points in the single-core test and 6,406 points in the multi-core test, the latter being an excellent performance.

The powerful hardware and optimized software stand behind these benchmark scores which promise smooth multitasking and high performance gaming.

Battery & Charger

Battery and charging are standout features of the Oppo Reno14 Pro that contributes positively to its overall user experience.

With its 6,200mAh battery, the Reno14 Pro is killer with endurance. Under normal usage conditions, the device lasted around 6 hours in high intensity usage tests such as continuous gaming or streaming, before the battery dropped to around 34%.

It’s equally efficient charging. Powered by a 8,000mAh battery, Reno14 Pro supports 80W wired fast charge so that you can power up in a blink of an eye. And it also features 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging for those who prefer cable free charging solutions . The device also has reverse wired charging, so that it can be used to power up other gadgets.

The battery-heavy Reno14 Pro is still sleek, measuring 7.5mm thick and 201 grams . With this balance of battery capacity and design, the battery will last long and remain portable.

But what it doesn't offer is reverse wireless charging that's present on some rivals. This is not a huge issue, but if you are always relying on wireless power sharing, you might have to think twice.

In totality, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro’s battery life and charging features are great battery life and charging features are great for a very reliable and convenient experience for users, perfect for the needs of today’s smartphone users.

Oppo Reno14 Pro Price in Bangladesh

The Oppo Reno14 Pro price in Bangladesh is BDT 69,500 (Unofficial) with 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. There is another variant 12GB+512GB of this phone available at BDT 74,500 (Unofficial).

You’re paying a good price for a slick AMOLED display, buttery smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a camera setup that is competent for that price. It’s nowhere near slow but it’s not flying along by any means, so if you’re running heavy games or handling a lot of multitasking you’ll know.

So if it’s style, solid every day performance and a camera that will always be your best bet for every selfie you’re after. On the inside you won to get to flagship power.

Final Word

I had quality time with the Oppo Reno14 Pro and am confident that it is where style, power and thoughtful features meet. It ticks most boxes for a premium smartphone, from that stunning display, to its capable camera and robust performance. There are some minor software quirks, but they are not overshadowing experience. In short, the Reno14 Pro is a balanced flagship worth considering for anyone who wants a device that is as good to use, as it is good to look at.
