Story Hightlights
Smartphone prices in 2026 were not like it and to be honest, you can feel it when you see new releases. A good illustration of this change is the Oppo K14x, which is being launched at a significantly higher price than we had gotten accustomed to only a year ago.
Paperwise, it does not yell a significant upgrade, though there are some adjustments, battery and general usability, in particular, that attempt to explain its new status.
I was able to use the Oppo K14x as my daily driver, and in this review, I will deconstruct the way it works in real life, both in daily use and camera performance, and whether it is really worth the price increase.
An In-Depth Review on Oppo K14x
Oppo K14x is designed to be used by those who are more concerned with battery life, fluid performance, and daily dependability than flashy upgrades. Its huge battery, 120Hz display, and stable 5G chipset make it promise to provide a balanced experience at the low-end market. It performs its day-to-day duties easily, but exhibits sharpness and average camera performance.
We discuss the strengths, weaknesses, and the value that the Oppo K14x really provides at its present price in Bangladesh in this review.
Box Content
This is what you get inside the Oppo K14x box:
- Oppo K14x Smartphone
- 45W Charger
- USB Type-C cable
- Silicone case
- User manual
- SIM tool

The Oppo K14x maintains a simple and practical setup in the box. It includes the handset itself, a 45W fast charger, a USB Type-C cable and a SIM ejector tool. Oppo also comes with a protective case, a nice touch at this price, and a quick guide to get started.
All in all, it is a full retail package that comes with everything necessary, you do not have to make any additional purchases immediately after purchase.
Design & Build Quality
The design of the Oppo K14x has quite a number of things that I really liked, and there are some trade-offs that are difficult to overlook. Starting with the positives, the back panel has a very eye-catching finish. The Prism Violet model, specifically, is a colorful device that changes well in the light, creating a somewhat high-end impression despite being a low-cost gadget. The camera module is neatly positioned on the upper left and does not stick out much, therefore, the phone remains stable when resting on a flat surface, which I personally like.
The phone is solid in your hands, and at IP54, you have slight protection against dust and splashes, which provides a modicum of assurance in daily use. The general construction is solid, although it does not exude high-end.

On the front, it has a big screen with a prominent bottom chin. Well, at this price, you soon get accustomed to it. The screen size aids immersion, be it in watching videos or scrolling through applications.
Now, to the negatives- the weight is certainly felt. This is not a lightweight phone at 212 grams. You will experience that additional weight particularly when used extensively. That big in-hand feel is also contributed by the slightly thicker 8.6mm body, probably because of the large battery within.
All in all, the Oppo K14x offers a balance between the style and durability, yet the increased weight may not be an appeal to all.
Display
Oppo K14x is equipped with a huge 6.75-inch IPS LCD screen, and the first thing that you will see is the fact that it is very immersive. The size is certainly in its favour whether you are scrolling through social media or watching videos. It is also quite bright, reaching 1125 nits in high brightness mode, which is good in an indoor environment, but outdoors, visibility may seem somewhat restricted when the sun is very bright.
Sharpness now, then. The phone features an HD+ resolution, and in case you are used to a Full HD display, you will feel the difference. There is no sharpness in text and graphics, particularly when you take a closer look. That notwithstanding, it is not a killer to the ordinary users.

The 120Hz refresh rate is what actually helps to even the score. The scrolling is smooth, as well as the transition between apps, making the everyday use of them more pleasant. Colours are also very satisfactory, particularly when you turn on to vibrant mode which makes content more lively.
On the audio side, though, things are slightly lackluster. The phone has only one down-firing speaker that is not deep and rich but is sufficient. It is not as immersive to watch movies or play games without stereo sound.
The general experience of the display is a blend of smooth performance and mediocre sharpness, with audio being the lesser of the evils.
Camera
The Oppo K14x is equipped with a 50MP main camera with a 2MP auxiliary sensor, and a 5MP selfie camera. It looks quite typical of the segment on paper, but in the real world, the outcomes are somewhat varied.
Daylight Photo:
This is the area where the phone is best at, beginning with daylight photography. Photos are bright with a good dynamic range and the camera is doing a good job of keeping the highlights, such as the sky, under control. Colours are however slightly tilted towards the cooler side, which makes photos have a clean appearance but in some cases, the scenes appear flat. The detail is good, but not the best in this price bracket.

Low-light Photo:
It is at low-light photography that things begin to unravel. The special night mode is not enough to enhance shots, as pictures tend to be soft, a bit noisy and without details. There is harshness in light sources and overall clarity is not equal to competitors.
The portrait mode is effective, but not very reliable. The edge detection may not be very consistent and when the lighting is brighter the camera will over expose faces which influences the overall accuracy of the skin tones.
The difference is more evident when we compare it to competitors such as the Realme P4x. The Realme has a more detailed and natural colours, particularly in portraits, whereas the Oppo is more concerned with brightness and dynamic range.

Another weakness is selfie performance. The front camera is 5MP with a problem of exposure, which tends to overexpose highlights on faces. It lacks finer details and during low-light conditions, the selfies become soft and noisy and thus not the best choice among social media fans.
On the video front, the phone has a front and rear camera of 1080p at 30fps. The quality is good enough to be used in casual clips, but no advanced stabilization or special features here.
In general, the Oppo K14x provides a fairly good daylight camera experience, but it is not very good at portraits, selfies, and low-light photography, which is why it is a rather average performer in its category.
Performance & Software
The Oppo K14x runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, with a maximum of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and in general, it can comfortably cope with daily use. The process of scrolling through social media, browsing, and switching between apps is smooth, and there are no significant hiccups when using social media casually. But as soon as you begin pushing the phone a bit, such as heavier multitasking, you will find that there are occasional microstutters, and a slight decrease in responsiveness.
The performance of gaming is surprisingly good. Games such as COD: Mobile and BGMI can be played on balanced settings without any issues, which makes it a good choice among casual players. The thermal control was also interesting to me, as the phone remains comparatively cool even after several hours of gaming, contributing to the experience.

On the software front, the phone operates ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15. Although the UI is smooth and refined in everyday use, it is somewhat disappointing to find it being released with Android 15 when there are already newer releases. This is a bit of shortening of the long-term update window, which could be important in case you intend to use the phone over a number of years.
ColorOS, in its turn, provides a fairly good amount of customization and handy functions, but it does have a set of pre-installed applications and content recommendations. Fortunately, the majority of these can be eliminated.
On the whole, the Oppo K14x provides a stable daily performance with unexpectedly good gaming, although the software aspect could have been more future-proof.
AnTuTu Benchmark & Geekbench Score
Oppo K14x performs fairly average in benchmark tests. With a score of approximately 5823218 on AnTuTu Benchmark, the phone is situated in the comfortable entry-level 5G range and demonstrates its emphasis on balanced and everyday performance over sheer power.

It scores approximately 770+ on single-core and approximately 1,800-1,900 on multi-core performance on Geekbench, indicating average CPU performance in daily tasks and light multitasking.
These figures in real life equate to daily use with a sufficient amount of headroom to play a casual game. It is not a performance powerhouse but it provides consistent and reliable performance in the areas where it is required the most by regular users.
Battery & Charger
The 6500mAh battery is undoubtedly one of the strongest points of the Oppo K14x, and it is evident in everyday life. Browsing, social media, calls, and a little video streaming will easily keep the phone alive all day long and beyond. I had an average of 35-40 percent battery at night, which is quite encouraging on most days.
The lower-resolution screen also contributes to this, and it allows to extend battery life even more. When you are on the lighter side of usage, then it is highly possible to get close to two days on a single charge.

There is something mixed about charging, however. The 45W fast charger is bundled to charge 45W and it takes about 85-90 minutes to recharge to full which is a little slow compared to other competitors. Nevertheless, with a battery life this long, you will not have to charge your phone too frequently.
On the whole, the Oppo K14x has an impressive battery life, although the charge rates are only average.
Oppo K14x price in Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, the Oppo K14x is being sold unofficially at an approximate of BDT 24,000 in the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. It is in the competitive budget 5G segment at this price, where consumers are looking at a balance between performance, battery life and features.
Although the price is a little bit higher than the older models, the phone attempts to make it up with its massive battery and easy-to-use display.
Final Word
The Oppo K14x is a phone that concentrates on the fundamentals- and in most aspects, it has them right. It is a reliable device in everyday use with an excellent battery life, a smooth 120Hz display, and reliable day-to-day performance. The mediocre cameras, HD+ resolution and a few dollars higher price keep it off the hook, though.
It is a good choice should your main consideration be long battery life and consistent performance, but those who prefer a more balanced package should consider other options.
