I enjoyed unboxing the Oppo Find X8 Ultra as it has some interesting features and design elements. The packaging was luxurious and the products were neatly packed. In the box, I got the smartphone, clear case (the black version is opaque), USB-A to USB-C cable, 100W SuperVOOC charger, and a SIM ejector tool. 

For instance, no earphones were provided which is an addition that is missing in most flagship devices at the moment. It’s worth mentioning that a really good charger and a protective case were included, making it possible to start using the phone immediately.

Design & Build Quality

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is the last released product of the company and it looks very elegant and polished. It has a 6.82-inch screen and a 6,100mAh battery without being very thick at 8.78mm and heavy at 226g, which makes it easy to use.

The 50MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide sensor keeps wide-vision images almost free from distortion and shows uniformity in color and exposure at the edges.

As for the hardware, the Find X8 Ultra performs exceptionally well in bright light since it takes high-quality images with good detail and a wide range of tones. The 50MP main sensor takes crisp images with good colors and proper exposures. The 3x and 6x optical zoom lenses are effective for shooting objects far away and are quite clear with accurate color. The ultrawide camera is also quite good and provides a broad field of view without much warping.

Low-light Photo:

Even in low light situations, the Find X8 Ultra does not disappoint. The large 1-inch main sensor captures a lot of light, which makes the produced images bright with retained details and low noise levels. The lenses of 3x and 6x telephoto are also good in low light conditions without compromising much on the quality of the image. But I found that the ultrawide camera is not as impressive in low light as the other lenses, it is slightly soft and noisier.

The front-facing camera, with a resolution of 32MP, takes bright and clear selfies and is efficient in both bright and low light situations.

The Find X8 Ultra offers video recording in 4K at 60fps for all the lenses, and the rear ones are capable of recording 4K at 120fps. It is equipped with Dolby Vision that improves picture contrast and color space.

Performance & Software

With the help of Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Oppo Find X8 Ultra is a top-performing smartphone. It supports up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, and responds to multiple and heavy tasks without a hitch. In benchmark tests, it performs exceptionally well, which is expected from a flagship product.

The gaming experience on the Find X8 Ultra is impressive and there is little to no lag. Titles like Call of Duty: It runs most games at high settings without experiencing any frame drops, and the device does not overheat due to the presence of a vapor chamber and graphite layers.

It utilizes ColorOS 15 which is based on Android 15 and provides a good and easy to navigate environment. It is smooth, and the motion of navigating between screens is smooth and swift. However, there is the Chinese version which has applications installed for the Chinese market that may not have any relevance for a foreign market.

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra has a large silicon-carbon battery of 6,100mAh that helps it to last longer. I did not have to recharge the device for more than a day, considering that I was using it to browse through various applications and also listen to music and watch videos. It also managed to reach 23:57 in web browsing tests and approximately 13 hours in gaming benchmark tests.

Charging is equally impressive. The included 100W SuperVOOC charger also charge the battery from 0 to 100 percent in roughly half an hour. Also, this device has 50W wireless power and 10W reverse wireless power for versatility on the charging options.
