- Excellent Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 performance
- Big 9,000mAh battery
- Smooth 165Hz AMOLED display
- Premium IP68/IP69K water and dust resistance
- Plastic frame and back reduce
- Ultra-wide camera performance is average
After experimenting with different strategies in the premium mid-range segment, OnePlus seems to have found its rhythm again with the OnePlus Nord 6. The new model is an immediate eye-catcher with significant improvements over the Nord 5, such as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, an ultra-smooth 165Hz AMOLED display and a gigantic 9,000mAh battery.
OnePlus has also equipped the Nord 6 with the durability of an IP69K rating, which makes it feel more premium and reliable than the earlier Nord devices. It's supposed to offer flagship-level speed, outstanding gaming capabilities and best battery life in its class. But is the actual experience what all people are expecting? Read our full OnePlus Nord 6 review.
An In-Depth Review on OnePlus Nord 6
The OnePlus Nord 6 has been built to offer users robust performance, seamless gaming experiences, and outstanding battery efficiency without the flagship price tag. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, coupled with its 165Hz AMOLED screen and 9,000mAh battery, ensures robust performance for daily tasks and extended gaming sessions.
While its camera system is more practical than premium and the design remains fairly straightforward, the Nord 6 focuses on delivering speed, endurance, and reliability. This review explores its real-world performance, key strengths, weaknesses, price in Bangladesh and overall value in the competitive upper mid-range smartphone market.
Box Content
This is what you get inside the OnePlus Nord 6 box:
- OnePlus Nord 6 Smartphone
- 80W Charger
- USB Type-C cable
- Silicone case
- User manual
- SIM tool

The inside of the box is neat and straightforward, with OnePlus keeping it simple and practical. The buyers will receive the OnePlus Nord 6 handset, an 80W fast charger, a USB Type C cable, a transparent protective case, the SIM ejector tool and the usual OnePlus documentation. I like the fact that OnePlus still packs the charger and the case with the phone, as many other brands are doing away with accessories these days.
Design & Build Quality
The OnePlus Nord 6 has a more refined and grown up design language that is more similar to the flagship OnePlus line up than the earlier versions of the Nord. The new square shaped camera module looks sleeker on the phone and also minimizes the camera wobbling on flat surfaces, which is a minor but welcome feature of the Nord 5. Quick Silver is the colour variation with a holographic finish which reflects light at various angles and gives it a youthful cyberpunk style, whereas Fresh Mint and Pitch Black have a more minimal appearance.

Although Nord 6 looks premium, the frame and back are made of plastic, with a matte finish. The finish is comfortable to hold, and doesn't get fingerprints very easily, but it's not as high quality as the glass and metal options in this category. The phone is quite bulky at 217 grams and 8.5mm thick, so it's not exactly easy to use with one hand.
Nord 6 truly shines in terms of durability. It has a water resistance rating of IP68 and IP69K, which means it can withstand water and withstand high-pressure water jets. OnePlus also brings MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability certification to ease concerns of long-term usage. The front is shielded by OnePlus Crystal Guard Glass and as always, the company has included a pre-installed screen protector and a protective case in the box.
Display
The OnePlus Nord 6 is powered by a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen which is one of the best AMOLED screens in its class. The screen has an impressive 1.5K resolution, boasting a pixel density of 450 ppi and HDR10+ support, which ensures sharpness, deep contrast, and vivid colours for gaming, watching videos, and socializing. The bezels are also very thin and the punch-hole design gives the phone a modern feel and makes it more immersive.
One of the more prominent features is the 165Hz refresh rate, which ensures smooth scrolling and animation motions. In everyday use, the Nord 5's 144Hz refresh rate won't make much of a difference, but gamers will find it smoother in the supported games such as BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile. The touch sensitivity is also very accurate, with Aqua Touch 2.0 functioning surprisingly well even with wet fingers.

Another positive aspect is brightness. The panel can achieve a peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits, so that it can be seen clearly even under direct sunlight. OnePlus adds 3,840Hz PWM dimming, which aids eye strain reduction when using the phone at night, when the lighting is dim.
The Always-on Display experience is somewhat restrictive though. It is unfortunate that the features such as permanent display mode or scheduling are not available, as AOD support is present on the phone, and the display experience is quite high for this large battery.
Camera
The OnePlus Nord 6 camera setup on paper doesn't sound like a big improvement. The phone features a 50MP Sony LYTIA-600 primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 32MP front shooter. The downgrade to the smaller LYTIA-480 sensor in the Nord 5 is a concern in comparison to the Nord's larger LYTIA-700 sensor, but it isn't the whole picture.
Daylight Photo:
During the day, the Nord 6 produces crisp and colorful images, with a more natural colour rendering than its predecessor. Nord 6 is a bit more conservative compared to Nord 5, with more realistic skies, greens and skin tones. Details are outstanding, particularly when zooming in on photographs, although it can at times appear a little over-sharpened. Dynamic range is also good, and most of the time the camera copes well with the shadows and highlights.

Portrait photography is yet another surprise. The primary camera does a better job of capturing the edges and keeping the background separated than the Nord 5. Facial details are sharper and the bokeh overall is less fake. The Nord 6 does well for a dual-camera phone for portraits, though there's still a niche for those that have a dedicated telephoto camera.
The 8MP ultra-wide camera is serviceable but clearly the weaker lens here. Colours remain fairly consistent with the main sensor, but sharpness drops noticeably around the edges, especially in lower lighting.
Low-light Photo:
The Nord 6 is the best camera for low-light photography. Night shots have a better texture and detail while not looking too processed. Shadow areas are lifted naturally, highlights remain controlled and the overall scene looks cleaner than many of the competitors in this range. Streetlights can still cause lens flare and light streaking, but the overall nighttime performance is excellent.

The new 32MP front camera brings a significant improvement to selfie performance. The photos look sharper, exposure control has been enhanced, and skin tones are more balanced than previous Nord devices. The front camera also includes 4K video recording, a feature that is an excellent addition to the camera for content creators and vloggers.
It can record up to 4K at 60fps on the rear camera. OIS provides for stable footage, colour is good and the autofocus is reliable. Overall it's not a flagship camera, but smart image processing can mean as much as camera size when it comes to the Nord 6.
Performance & Software
The OnePlus Nord 6 features a significant boost in performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM and fast UFS 4.1 storage. The phone comes with 8GB and 12GB RAM options, allowing for a lively and swift experience in daily usage, whether it's multi-tasking, video editing, or toggling between demanding applications. For the users that use their phones for a long period or mobile gamers who are pushing their phones regularly, the 12GB variant is far better.
Gaming is definitely one of the Nord 6's number one features. The phone can easily run BGMI, Call of Duty Mobile and Free Fire at very high frame rates with up to 165fps for supported games. The combination of this smooth 165Hz display, along with the fluid and responsive gameplay, is quite remarkable. At the same time, OnePlus has taken thermal management up a notch with a huge graphene cooling system. The phone does heat up a bit during extended gaming sessions, but this is not a problem and will not become uncomfortable.

The Nord 6 is powered by OxygenOS 16, which is built on Android 16, on the software front. The interface is still quick, slick, and packed with features and some handy new additions such as Open Canvas multi-tasking and Seamless Connect for smoother sharing of files between Android, Windows, Mac and even iOS devices. AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Ghostwriter, and live translation features are also an addition by OnePlus.
However, a few noticeably pre-installed apps does mean that that may not be a complete Android experience for those who prefer a cleaner experience. Fortunately, the majority can be easily removed. In addition, OnePlus will support four significant Android updates and six years of security patches, making the Nord 6 a much more solid long-term investment than the previous versions of the Nord.
AnTuTu Benchmark Score & Geekbench Score
The benchmark numbers of the OnePlus Nord 6 are indicative of its gaming-centric hardware and is clearly in the league of flagships. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset is used in the phone, which achieves about 2.42million points on the AnTuTu Benchmark v11, well within the top half of the mid-range segment. Both the CPU and GPU have experienced significant upgrades in performance from the previous Nord generation, particularly in gaming and multitasking scenarios.

Geekbench 6 results show the Nord 6 scoring approximately 2,040 points in the single-core test and approximately 6,520 points in the multi-core test. This equates to quick application response times, seamless multitasking, and top-tier sustained performance under heavy gaming loads. The Nord 6 is powered by the fast UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring its immediate response in everyday use and its ability to deliver high-quality frame rates for demanding titles.
Battery & Charger
One of the biggest advantages of the OnePlus Nord 6 is its battery life. The 9,000mAh Silicon-Carbon battery offers much greater battery life than the majority of phones in this price range without the phone getting overly fat. The Nord 6 is capable of covering two days of moderate usage, which consists of social media, streaming, messaging, and even some gaming. Users of all kinds, even heavy users and mobile gamers, should not be worried about battery life after using it for more than a day.
The phone has 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging to handle the charging, and it can reach 100% capacity within about 65 minutes, despite the massive battery capacity. This is quite impressive given that the battery life is more like that of a power bank as opposed to a smartphone.

OnePlus has also added 27W reverse wired charging, so the Nord 6 can charge accessories or even another smartphone when necessary. Another helpful feature included is the update to Bypass Charging, which is useful for gamers and creators to help minimize heat and battery life loss during lengthy gaming sessions or video recording times.
OnePlus Nord 6 price in Bangladesh
The OnePlus Nord 6 is now on sale in Bangladesh for an unofficial price of around BDT 56,000 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, and BDT 61,000 for the higher 12GB RAM and 256GB variant. The Nord 6, with its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, 165Hz AMOLED screen, and massive 9,000mAh battery, provides great value for gamers seeking flagship-level performance and extended battery life without the premium price tag.
Final Word
The performance, battery life, display smoothness, and overall usability that the OnePlus Nord 6 offers, are all the things that OnePlus knows its Nord users need in 2026. With its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, 165Hz AMOLED display, and enormous 9,000mAh battery, it's among the most powerful gaming handsets in the upper mid-range. Overall, the experience is speedy, slick, and reliable; the cameras and plastic quality, though not quite flagship, are still good. Nord 6 is a no-brainer for gamers and power users.
