Most cheap phones have this choice: good looks, good camera or long battery life. The Itel Power 80 does not require you to make a selection. You're tough and you're durable, that's what it's all about. In Bangladesh, it has a price tag of ৳18,490 and is packed with a massive 7000mAh battery. It also boasts water and dust resistance to IP68/IP69 and a robust body that resists shocks and drops. Not a quick phone and camera is not up to much.

However, if you are someone who has experienced screen damage, cold weather or low battery, you've got to have this particular phone in your hands. Let's see how well it really performs.

An In-Depth Review on Itel Power 80

The Itel Power 80 is designed for those who want a phone that will keep going, no matter the circumstances. It operates on the Unisoc T7250 SoC, uses a large 7000mAh battery and a 120Hz refresh rate display. It also features IP68/IP69 waterproofing and dust resistance, and a shockproof body that is resistant to drops. Here, it will be reviewed for its design, display, performance, camera, battery life, price in Bangladesh, and value to the average user.

Box Content

This is what you get inside the Itel Power 80 box:

  • Itel Power 80 Smartphone
  • 18W fast charger
  • USB Type-C cable
  • Protective case
  • SIM ejector tool
  • User manual

The Itel Power 80 is packaged in an easy-to-use box that allows you to begin using the product immediately. The phone is included, as is the 18W charger, the USB Type-C cable, the SIM ejector, and a simple user's manual and warranty card. They don't include extra earphones or cover, so you might need to purchase a protective case separately.

Design & Build Quality

The Itel Power 80 is designed to last a long time, not just look pretty. Its dimensions are 172.27mm high, 83.67mm wide and 8.6mm thick, which is a bit thick for its girth, but that's to be expected for such an all-encompassing battery and rugged design. The rear is protected by a Cage Frame Shockproof structure, which functions like a protective skeleton, absorbing shock in case of a drop or bump.

This is where the phone really shines. It has an IP68/IP69 rating and is dust and water-proof. It can withstand getting wet up to 2 meters for 30 minutes, which means that if it spills, raines, or even gets dunked, it's not harmed. This type of coverage is hard to find at this price and a true advantage for anyone that works outside the home, travels extensively or just has a bad luck streak with their phone.

Besides water resistance, the phone is completely dust-proof, making it a good choice for construction sites, farms or a dusty environment where a regular phone would struggle.

As far as styling goes, it has three colors: Tundra Green, Rock Black and Lava Orange to give buyers some variety from the default black and white.

In general, the design will not be considered sleek or premium. Rather, it's about strength, functionality, and reliability. The build quality of the Power 80's is built sturdy enough to take a beating, get wet and still function, but if it means it will be a little bulkier, that's what you'll have.

Display

Itel Power 80 features a large 6.78-inch IPS LCD display screen with ample viewing space for video viewing, browsing, and gaming. There is a punch-hole design for the front camera, instead of a large notch, which will provide a cleaner, more modern look to the display with thin bezels.

It's got one of its strongest points here with 120Hz refresh rate, which isn't seen in phones in this price range. This results in smoother scrolling through apps, social media, and web pages than standard 60Hz displays. Swiping between home screens and using other basic functions will feel smoother.

The resolution of the display, however, is only 720x1576 pixels or HD+. At a display size this big, it basically means that text, images and videos won't be as crisp as they would be on a Full HD+ screen. It still looks good enough to use, and detailed information such as high-resolution pictures might appear slightly blurry.

Gorilla Glass provides a solid amount of scratch resistance to the screen; it's a nice complement to the phone's tough and shockproof body. It also handles capacitive multi-touch (pinch-to-zoom, multi-finger taps, etc.) very well.

In general, the whole display is pretty balanced: The 120 frames per second refresh rate brings a sense of speed and smoothness to daily usage, but the HD+ resolution doesn't push it to the extreme sharpness. It's good enough for casual viewing, streaming and browsing, but not for flagship quality clarity.

Camera

The Itel Power 80 comes with only a single rear camera system, as opposed to multiple lenses. The photos can be taken at a high resolution of 8150 x 6150 pixels, thanks to a 50MP wide-angle primary camera with autofocus and an LED flash. Of course there are manual controls such as exposure compensation and ISO adjustment, which is nice if you enjoy making a lot of manual adjustments rather than just sticking to auto mode.

The camera also has Continuous Shooting and HDR mode for additional shooting versatility, allowing for better balance of bright and dark areas in a single image, which is ideal for shooting outside with strong sunlight or shadows. It makes everyday photography easy even for novices, thanks to its features such as auto focus, face detection and touch-to-focus. But zoom is just digital, so the image will not be very good when zooming in.

Daylight Photos:

The sensor is 50MP and the camera supports HDR, so the shots under the daylight should be clear, detailed and colour-balanced. Widely used social media, landscape and daily snapshots should be suitable for outdoor photography.

Low-Light Photos:

This is where budget cameras, like this, would fall down. Low-light and indoor images may be soft or noisy, or with a lack of fine detail, without a dedicated night mode or larger sensor. The LED flash will assist in darker conditions, but in general, night photography will be at best average in this price range.

The video camera is 1920x1080 (Full HD) at 30fps on the rear. It's a basic video spec that's suitable for casual clips and posting to social media, but not designed for smooth 60 fps and 4K recording.

The 8MP selfie camera is placed at the front, and is rather basic but should be able to manage most selfies and video calls.

In general, the camera system is not outstanding. It's perfect for daytime photos, casual video and quick, every-day snaps, but night photography and advanced zoom functions could be limiting.

Performance & Software

Itel Power 80 is based on Android 16, which provides access to all the latest Android features and an additional software layer by Itel on top of it. This helps to keep the phone updated with security patches and fundamental customization features.

Its under-the-hood processor, the Unisoc T7250 is an entry-level processor designed for simple smartphone activities rather than heavy workload. The octa-core processor is a mix of 2 cores with 1.8GHz of clock speed and 6 cores with 1.6GHz clock speed. It is fine for regular activities, such as calling, texting, social media applications, etc.

The Mali-G57 MP1 GPU is a low-end chip and doesn't support graphics for demanding games.Mali-G57 MP1 is a simple chip designed for simple graphics. This should not be a problem with light games or casual applications, but heavier games that are set at high graphics settings may experience lag or require a lower graphics setting in order to run smoothly.

The chipset has been manufactured on a 12nm process, a bit dated by today's standards. The Power 80's budget positioning is demonstrated in newer chips that typically deliver high performance and battery efficiency, which is one area where the Power 80 clearly shines.

For the average user, who probably doesn't have several applications with high demands on the CPU running, the multitasking should be fairly smooth, given the 64-bit architecture and 8 CPU cores.

The result is a phone that's not particularly well-suited to the game or performance-oriented. It's meant for everyday use, calls, messaging, browsing and fun apps. This chipset will put a cap on your speed and gaming performance. For simple smartphone usage, it works well without any major problems.

Battery & Charger

The biggest highlight of the Itel Power 80 is easily its battery. It has one of the largest 7000mAh Li-Polymer battery on the market in this price range. This sort of capacity indicates that the phone can hold up nicely for a complete day of heavy use, or near two days of regular, day-to-day use, such as making calls, sending text messages and surfing the web.

It has support for 18W wired fast charging via its USB Type-C 2.0 port for charging. 18W isn't the fastest of speeds, per se, but it's pretty decent for this large battery, so the charging time will be a bit longer, perhaps more than an hour and a half.

The battery is not detachable, a common feature in most of today's smartphones that helps to ensure a waterproof and sturdy build.

In all, for the battery life, the Power 80 offers just that, if that's your priority more than camera quality or gaming performance. It's designed for the users who wish to own a mobile phone that doesn't require them to keep reaching for its charger all day long.

Itel Power 80 Price in Bangladesh

The Itel Power 80 has been officially launched in Bangladesh for 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration at ৳18,490. This price is in the budget range where consumers are more likely to be interested in a device with long battery life and durability rather than flashy features. The battery capacity of 7000mAh and the rugged IP68/IP69 water resistance make it a good value for those who value durability and endurance over power.

Final Word

The Itel Power 80 is not in the business of impressing with speed or camera prowess and that's what makes it good. It places emphasis on the battery life, which is important for most people who use a cell phone every day, on the ability to withstand dropping, water and shock, and on the display's levelness for daily use. It's a good choice for those looking for a durable and dependable phone instead of a high-performance one, at ৳18,490. The Power 80 is a good option for those who prioritize durability and battery life.
