February has become a real stress test for flagship smartphones and in the heart of this high-stakes battle comes the iQOO 15 Ultra. It is not one of those phones that silently enter the party but it is felt first.

Together with flagship Snapdragon performance, iQOO is going big with a next-generation 2K OLED display, in-house performance chip crafted to ensure long-lasting smoothness, advanced cooling hardware, a huge battery, and a triple-camera system.

We deconstruct all this in this review and find out whether the iQOO 15 Ultra is really as bold as it promises to be.

An In-Depth Review on iQOO 15 Ultra

The iQOO 15 Ultra is the vision of iQOO of creating a no-nonsense flagship that is made by people who are concerned about power, stability, and daily usability. Rather than focusing on gimmicks, it focuses on pure performance, a next-generation high refresh OLED screen, enhanced cooling, and extended battery life to ensure that one can cope with tough tasks without any problems.

Although it obviously competes in the ultra-premium category, this review takes a more detailed examination of its practical advantages, weaknesses, and price in Bangladesh to examine how well the iQOO 15 Ultra performs in the areas where it counts the most.

Box Content

This is what you get inside the iQOO 15 Ultra box:

  • iQOO 15 Ultra Smartphone
  • 100W Charger
  • USB Type-C cable
  • Silicone case
  • User manual
  • SIM tool

The iQOO 15 Ultra is very simple and practical inside the box. The smartphone itself, a 100W fast charging adapter, a USB Type-C cable, and a protective case are all you need to get started immediately, and iQOO does not leave out the standard SIM ejector tool and basic paperwork. It is a barebones, no-frills package with a focus on the basics, which means that you can begin using the phone right away without having to purchase additional accessories on the first day.

Design & Build Quality

The iQOO 15 Ultra adheres to a well-known flagship design, but it customizes it in a manner that is meaningful. The flatter frame and the back panel enable the phone to be held in the hand, despite its huge footprint and conspicuous weight. It weighs 227 grams, which is quite heavy to hold but the weight is well distributed and is never painful to carry around in everyday life.

The back design is sleek and luxurious with a small camera island that does not appear flashy. The finish is smooth and solid which supports the Ultra branding. Both colour options are Black and Silver and are oriented to mature and performance-oriented style, not eye-catching. It is a style that puts practicality and longevity more than experimentation.

One of the strong points of the phone is the quality of the building. The iQOO 15 Ultra features IP68 and IP69 ratings which ensure that it is not affected by dust, accidental spills and even high pressure water. This renders it suitable to be used over a long duration and in rough environments without worrying about it. The hard frame, quality materials and snug fit all add to a phone that seems to be made to last.

It does not have the ability to turn heads as some of its competitors do, however, the iQOO 15 Ultra compensates it with reliability and durability. In case you prefer power, comfort, and functionality to glamour, this phone provides precisely that.

Display

The iQOO 15 Ultra has one of the best displays we have ever seen on an iQOO phone to date. It has a huge 2K AMOLED 6.85-inch display which instantly impresses with its sharpness and clarity. Text is clear and crisp, images are detailed and colours are rich without being overdone. The screen is not hard to compete with other high end phones.

Its LTPO technology allows the refresh rate to dynamically increase to 144Hz, which makes scrolling, animations and games incredibly smooth and can help save battery when doing light tasks. Another strength is brightness. The display has extremely high peak brightness, and can be seen clearly even in the brightest daylight, even outdoors.

Eye comfort is also a major concern to the panel. A combination of high-frequency PWM dimming and DC dimming is used to minimize flicker in low-light scenarios, which is visible when using over a long period of time at night. The HDR10+ and Dolby Vision also enhance the viewing experience by providing deep blacks, bright highlights, and high-quality contrast in streaming movies or shows. Both the HDR and SDR content is consistently good.

A reflectance resistant coating is used to reduce glare and avoid the accidental touches of moisture, which also contributes to a certain degree of practicality. Stereo speakers are a good match to the display, with clear vocals and sufficient loudness, but those who like bass might consider the sound somewhat one-dimensional.

Camera

The iQOO 15 Ultra is content with a triple 50MP rear camera, but the actual improvement is the reintroduction of the periscope telephoto lens. It comes with a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP 3x periscope lens, which provides the flexibility in various shooting situations. The front camera is 32Mp and takes selfies and video calls.

iQOO has introduced some of the camera functions that Vivo has borrowed, such as Basic and Personalised Styles, AI Visual effects, Snapshot mode when shooting fast-moving objects, and a special Street Photography mode with film-like colour profiles. Such features render the camera application more helpful and entertaining to operate, particularly when it comes to informal photography.

Daylight Photo:

During daylight, iQOO 15 Ultra favors a little bit of boosted colours and contrast, which makes the images look punchy and social media ready. Exposure and dynamic range is also well dealt with, and the shadows are well rendered without losing much information, although not always class-leading.

Low-Light Photo:

The iQOO 15 Ultra focuses more on exposure and brightness in low-light situations, and the results are usually bright images with balanced highlights and controlled flares of the light sources. Night shots appear realistic, sky colours and ambient lighting are painted in a natural manner. Nevertheless, noise minimization is not always violent, and this fact implies that certain grain can be observed in darker regions. The finer details may also be seen to be less sharp than the competitors but the phone makes up with faster focus and uniform output with all the lenses.

The ultrawide camera has the same colour science as the main sensor, which is useful in consistency, and it manages dynamic range better than it should. The telephoto lens provides a nice portrait with a clean edge detection and natural background blur but the skin tones may be a little brighter than in reality. The weakest aspect is the selfie camera which tends to give the picture a sharper image with less vibrant colours.

On the video front, the iQOO 15 Ultra is capable of recording up to 8K at 30fps with the rear camera and 4K at 60fps with the front one. The video quality is not problematic at 4K, and the colours are also reliable, as well as the stabilisation when moving. Although it does not have a dual-view recording, the overall video performance is good enough to use in everyday life.

To summarize, the iQOO 15 Ultra offers a strong and all-rounder camera experience, with its speed, consistency, and rich output being more important than the perfection of detail.

Performance & Software

The iQOO 15 Ultra centers around the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and it reveals its power the instant you begin using the phone. Combined with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and high-speed UFS 4.1 storage, daily performance is effortless. Apps can be opened immediately and multitasking is easy and the phone does not feel strained even when it is under heavy usage.

One of them is thermal management. The massive vapour chamber cooling system ensures that the temperatures are maintained when playing long games. During protracted playtests of more taxing titles such as BGMI and COD: Mobile, the phone was impressively stable, and it never got as hot as most rival flagships. The long-term performance is also solid, and the iQOO 15 Ultra is a safe bet when it comes to spending the day gaming, editing, or navigating-intensive tasks.

iQOO has an additional advantage in gaming with its own SuperComputing Chip Q3. It allows increased frame rates, up to 144fps in supported games, and better visuals and hardware-based ray tracing in some games. COD: Mobile performs well at very high frame rates, and BGMI has yet to be optimised despite good performance at the base.

The iQOO 15 Ultra is launched on the OriginOS 6 which is based on Android 16 on the software side. Its interface is quick, fluid and highly customisable, albeit with a visible number of pre-installed applications. The future of long-term support is bright, as several OS updates and long-term security are planned.
The AI features are maintained realistic and are dedicated to photo improvements, captions, and call translation as opposed to flashy features. In general, iQOO 15 Ultra provides an impressive, stable, and future-proof performance experience.

AnTuTu Geekbench Score & Geekbench Score

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform provides the iQOO 15 Ultra with some of the best benchmark figures you will ever find on an Android flagship. Leaked results on AnTuTu Benchmark indicate that the phone scored more than 4.5 million points in Android performance tests, making it one of the very highest performing phones in the Android performance indexes, this is the score of the CPU, GPU, memory, and system performance.

The phone records a score of approximately 3,600 in single core and approximately 11,400 in multi core on Geekbench 6. These are great CPU performance, or quick application starts, smooth navigation, and high multitasking headroom.

Benchmarks are not all, yet these figures prove what it is like to use it in real-life: a high-performing, fast phone that can play games and perform productivity and workload-intensive tasks without any discernible slowdown. To sum up, iQOO 15 Ultra can compete successfully with the current fastest Android devices.

Battery & Charger

The iQOO 15 Ultra is supported by a huge 7,400mAh battery, and this has been achieved by using the cutting-edge silicon anode technology that has increased the capacity without causing the phone to appear too thick. Paperwise, it is designed to be durable and in the real world, it mostly is. Through daily activities such as video streaming, navigation, scrolling through social media, and occasional gaming, the phone easily can last a day and a half on a single charge.

Battery drain can be kept under control even in the case of strenuous activity in the real world. Long gaming and high-refreshing does not lead to sudden drops and this is a good sign of the optimisation of the phone. This will render the iQOO 15 Ultra a trusted companion to individuals who have extended time without a charger.

Speeds of charging are also impressive. The phone is capable of wired fast charging of 100W, which means that the phone can be charged in almost an hour when close to being empty. Top-up is usually sufficient to see you through to the end of the day. Wireless charging is also provided, the first time on an iQOO flagship, and it is compatible with 40W speeds, which is an additional convenience.

iQOO 15 Ultra price in Bangladesh

The iQOO 15 Ultra is at the high-end in Bangladesh, and the unofficial pricing is BDT 130,000 on the 16GB + 512GB variant and about BDT 142,000 on the 16GB + 1TB variant. These numbers place it in comparison to other flagships, which are of high quality and feature set. The prices are competitive based on what it promises in terms of performance, display, battery and camera features to users who seek powerful flagship experience in the local market.

Final Word

The iQOO 15 Ultra is a beast that is designed to satisfy the needs of the user who values performance, display quality, and the ability to be used over time rather than the flashy add-ons. It has a high level of sustained performance, provides one of the best screens in the category and provides reliable battery life and quick charging. The camera and the software are not flawless but the whole package is balanced and future-proof. The iQOO 15 Ultra is a strong flagship with raw power and quotidian stability, should it be those values that are of the utmost importance to you.
