Story Hightlights
Huawei's Mate series has always meant business. After a three-year global absence, the Mate 80 Pro makes its return and it arrives with something to prove. It is a deliberate choice for people who want the best camera, the longest battery life, and a phone that simply does not quit.
We spent time with the Mate 80 Pro in real-world conditions to find out whether it lives up to the hype. The short answer? Mostly yes with one significant caveat that every Bangladeshi buyer needs to understand before reaching for their wallet. Let's get into it.
An In-Depth Review on Huawei Mate 80 Pro
The Huawei Mate 80 Pro is a high-end flagship phone for those who require the best in terms of performance, camera features and a high class multimedia experience. It's packed with the latest Huawei flagship chipset, a high refresh-rate OLED screen, a great camera setup, and rapid charging. The Mate 80 Pro's design, internals and software will look to challenge the high-end flagship mobile phones on the market. We review it here for its design, performance, cameras, battery life, price in Bangladesh and value to the “premium smartphone buyer”.
Box Content
This is what you get inside the Oppo Find X9s box:
- Oppo Find X9s Smartphone
- 100W Charger
- USB Type-C cable
- Silicone case
- User manual
- Sim Ejector Tool

Huawei leaves things simple here and is generous to a good degree. The Mate 80 Pro comes with a 100W supercharge adapter, a USB-C cable, a transparent protective case and of course the standard documentation. The only thing that really stands out is the 100W charger being delivered in the box – something of which, for years, Apple and Samsung were not doing. All tools to start are in place from the first day. No separate hunting for accessories.
Design & Build Quality
First you'll notice how solid the Mate 80 Pro is when you pick it up. It's a bit heavier at 219g, but this is an advantage. It feels solid, it feels like it is functional, not just for looks on a shelf, but for use.
Aluminum alloy frame with flat sides for a clean, modern look and comfortable hand. Older Mate handsets had curved glass backs, but Huawei has a new material for its back – fiber-reinforced plastic, which on the surface might seem like a downgrade but in reality is a premium material that is much less prone to cracking when dropped. The Kunlun Glass 2 on the front gives it even more peace of mind, as it is drop-resistant to the levels that would break most flagship screens.

It is 7.95mm thin and 161.85mm tall. One hand works for most things, but don't be misled, this is a two-handed phone for most usage and at 219g, extended use will remind you of that.
The design talking point of this phone is the Dual Space Ring camera module on the back. It is bold, unique and immediately recognizable, it's nothing like it's found on the market. All three finishes are not over-the-top, but are quite assured in their own right, with the Black being Black, the Green being Green and the Gold being Gold.
There's also the IP68 and IP69 water resistance up to 6 metres for 30 minutes and high-pressure jet resistance. That's not a minor matter for a phone that you're taking through the monsoon season in Bangladesh.
Display
It's one of Huawei's best screens that the company has on the Mate 80 Pro, and it's evident just by spending a few minutes with it.The 6.75-inch LTPO OLED screen has a resolution of 1280x2832 and a pixel density of 460ppi. All content on the screen is crystal clear. The text is clear, there are lots of images and you would need to squint through the glass to see individual pixels. The design of the 89.7% screen-to-body ratio makes the screen extend almost to the edges, leaving just a tiny punch-hole display at the top, which will not intrude upon your vision within the first hour of using the cell phone.

Animations and scrolling throughout the day remain fluid and natural with the 120Hz refresh rate. This panel is smarter than most because of the LTPO technology behind it. It adapts the refresh rate depending on the current activity on screen, thus consuming less battery when you're reading and more when you need it.
This display really shines in its brightness. The lights do not pose a problem if one is outside in the sunlight at Dhaka during the afternoon. The screen is fully readable without having to squint or seek shade that's not possible with every flagship at this price.
On the front, Huawei Kunlun Glass 2 takes care of the protection as well, and it's a nice addition to the already superb panel.
This display is able to handle all of these situations without any issues, whether you're streaming a video or scrolling through social media late at night. It's truly one of the more favorable screens in this price range at this moment.
Camera
The Mate 80 Pro has been Huawei's trump card and you won't need to seek any other alternatives.
The triple rear arrangement features a 50MP sensor led by a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/4.0 from the primary lens. That's no gimmick to sell a phone, it's a real hardware feature that Samsung and the iPhone don't have and no Samsung and iPhone are available at this price. It can be stopped down to f/4.0 in bright conditions, preventing over-exposure and maintaining sharpness of detail. The light opens up to f/1.4 when it is low, absorbing much more light than a fixed-aperture lens is able to. The end outcome is a camera that is environment friendly instead of being environment unfriendly.
Daylight Photo:
The day light shots look really good with all three of these lenses. The main camera captures natural-looking, true-to-color, and sharp images around the edges. The XMAGE processing philosophy makes for a more pleasant experience for serious photographers as it keeps things natural, but not overly punchy. The 48MP periscope telephoto adds OIS to the mix, providing stable and detailed shots at a distance, but at its maximum zoom level is not usable; at moderate zooms, it's usable, which is where most people shoot. The 100x digital zoom isn't perfect at the end of the zoom, but it's usable at moderate zoom levels, and that's where most people shoot. The 40MP sensor finally rounds off nicely, retaining detail and colour stability throughout its frame.

Low-light Photo:
The variable aperture is most evident when the light is dim. Night shots show good detail and control of noise and natural shadows. Huawei's strategy is not to take the heavy-handed smoothing that some competitors do to make their night mode look "painted," but processed.Huawei's approach is not to apply the smoothing that some competitors do to make their night mode look "painted" – instead, processed.
Video recording is capped at 3840×2160 and 4K rear and front cameras. Genuine versatility for content creation: Dual video recording, Video HDR and slow-motion modes. Footage is stable and consistently coloured under any lighting conditions, and is well exposed.

The front camera is 13-megapixel with ultra wide angle which is sufficient in making group selfies without the need to squeeze the selfie. Selfie quality is decent, and 4K video with the front camera is a good feature for those who shoot content or make video calls often.
As long as photography is important to you, and at this price it should be, the Mate 80 Pro offers the camera system that is up there with the best in 2026. It's not only the best value for money. It is simply good.
Performance & Software
The Mate 80 Pro is fast in everyday use. Genuinely fast. Apps launch without hesitation, multitasking remains smooth with 16G of RAM, and even during normal usage, social networks, browsing, video streaming, navigation or photography, the phone doesn't get on its back. All of it is no sweat for him.
The Kirin 9030 Pro is an in-house 6nm silicon nona core processor featuring a 1x2.75GHz prime core, four 2.27GHz performance cores and four 1.72GHz efficiency cores. It's equipped with the Maleoon 935 GPU for graphics. It's a decent and very well optimized system and Huawei can stand alone from Qualcomm for now, most people can tell. The performance difference between the 6nm and 3nm chips powering Samsung's new chips is more apparent when the chips are under heavy gaming loads at max settings. However, it is able to hold its own for regular gaming needs, such as Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, FIFA.

It is clean and responsive, with EMUI 15 running on top. It's user-friendly, highly customizable, and the application looks stable and is well-developed. In the case of long-term EMUI users, they will feel at ease. It will have a brief learning curve for new users.
The truthful disclaimer is Google. Google Mobile Services are not included. The Huawei AppGallery comes with WhatsApp, Facebook and TikTok pre-installed. With the exception of the majority of other apps, these can be sideloaded with hardly any effort. It's a viable arrangement that a lot of users are able to easily get into, but one that should be explored with both eyes open before buying.
After getting the software configured though, the experience is smooth, stable and really enjoyable everyday.
AnTuTu Benchmark & Geekbench Score
Numbers don't lie but they do not tell the whole story. The AnTuTu 11 benchmark gives the Mate 80 Pro an impressive score of 1725229 points. By any measure that is a good result. The CPU contributes 515961, memory scores 431545, UX lands at 293626 and the GPU pulls in 484107.

Those numbers just reaffirm what you'd expect from a phone that is fast, fluid and well optimised, across the board. The Kirin 9030 Pro is capable of handling CPU-intensive tasks without any hesitation and the memory performance, in particular, is noticed as the apps switch between different tasks and multitasking seems effortless.
However, for most users, anything above 2 million is ample on AnTuTu 11, and even the actual usage proves so.
Battery & Charger
Huawei Mate 80 Pro has a big 5750mAh Lithium-Polymer battery and some of the quickest charging functions on the market. When it comes to actual use, it's able to power through a full day of heavy usage, whether that's gaming, 4K video recording, streaming, or multitasking, without ever being a hindrance, even leaving plenty of battery power at the end of the day.
One of the best features of the phone is charging. The 100W wired charging support enables the battery to be charged at a very fast rate which reduces downtime for heavy users. Additionally, 80W wireless charging is provided by Huawei, which is among the fastest wireless charging options for any smartphone. Plus, the 20W reverse wireless charging also allows the Mate 80 Pro to easily charge other devices like earbuds, smartwatches, or even other smartphones.

Additionally, it features a USB Type-C 3.1 port with DisplayPort 1.2 support, providing an added layer of versatility by enabling users to connect external displays to enjoy a desktop-like experience. The Huawei Mate 80 Pro is one of the best battery performers in the flagship segment and offers a combination of an excellent battery life, super-fast charging capability and premium convenience features, all in one.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro price in Bangladesh
Huawei Mate 80 Pro is priced at ৳1,39,999 in Bangladesh for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. This is a territory of flags and it does not pay lip service. The price is not steep considering the quality of the camera system, the two-day battery life, charging speed that's second to none and the beautiful display.
Final Word
The Huawei Mate 80 Pro is a very impressive phone, except for the one thing it doesn't have: Google services. What you get is one of the best cameras, longest batteries and most capable displays that are available in Bangladesh today. It will cost you ৳1,39,999 which is a serious investment, not a whim. For the right buyer, it definitely makes good on its promise.
