Maximus D1 is being marketed as the cheapest 4G phone in Bangladesh which is not entirely true. The cheapest 4G phone ever released in Bangladesh is WE T1 for 4,444 Tk. which is still available in the market upon release of this device. Maximus D1 isn't priced too higher than this, but it is surely not the cheapest 4G phone in the market. It is not a big issue here anyway. This gadget is offering Android Oreo Go version which is much faster than WE T1's Android Nougat OS. Moreover, this phone has better GPU and display quality for less than 200 Tk. So, it is still a pretty deal because many buyers complained WE T1 to have a prolonged response time. If the processor is slow, you can't enjoy the benefit of a faster 4G connection, so Maximus D1 is way better from this point of view. But you need to remember that the RAM is still just 1 GB, so you will experience some lag if you want to perform intensive multitasking, leave too many apps to run in the background or use resource heavy apps. Another drawback is its battery. The 2200 mAh battery will not support you a whole day if you do a lot of tasks via your phone. There is also no fast charging, so you need to show much more patience with this device. But overall, it is still a terrific deal for the price. Walton Primo EF8 (4G) is probably the only close competitor of it in current market.
Update (December 2018): The new lowest priced 4G smartphone is Maximus D7 (3,499 Tk. only). Another new choice with slightly greater performance is Maximus P7 (4,699 Tk.). Both phones are released by Grameenphone and are available at GP shop.
