Xiaomi Redmi 12 arrives in Bangladesh

Just about two months ago, we received the first Redmi Note 12 model in Bangladesh and the consumers were eagerly waiting for the lower priced Xiaomi Redmi 12 as well and it has finally arrived. The phone is priced at ৳18,999 for the 8/256 GB model.
Redmi 10 2022 was a very successful release after the previous Redmi 10 and then we didn’t see any Redmi 11 and we are jumping to the Redmi 12. So, let’s see what this phone has to offer. The design has that new gen. iPhone look with a premium glass back. You may think the Redmi 10 2022 looks better comparing their pictures. But if you hold the new Redmi 12 in your hand, it looks way more premium. But the Gorilla Glass 3 is gone and we do not have a screen protection anymore. The phone is just 8.2 mm thin and with the boxy shape it will give fine gripping experience while holding in hand. There is also IP53 certified dust and water resistance which is greatly appreciated.
The display is a huge 6.79 inches Full HD+ one. There is 90Hz refresh rate and regular IPS LCD panel, no AMOLED. But we don’t expect AMOLED at this price anyway. The color of the display is excellent and it will pleas any user.
There is a 50 MP main back camera and a 8 MP front camera which looks the same as the previous Redmi 10 2022 in the specs sheet. They capture fine shots and we liked them after we saw the samples. Also, we liked the night time shots and the selfies. There is up to 1080p video recording option but without any stabilization.
On the performance section, we have Android 13 and MIUI 14, so, the software is up to date. There is a Helio G88 chipset which is fair and we didn’t expect any less than that. There is 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. This is classic Xiaomi lower-budget performance specs and very much recommended if you are into mobile gaming at a lower price with the reliable hardware and software quality of Xiaomi. All of the regular popular games should be playable smoothly and there shouldn’t be any lag for multitasking or any day to day usage.
Among other features, we got Hybrid dual SIM, which means a shared MicroSD slot, FM Radio, USB Type-C, Infrared and NFC (market dependent). The fingerprint is side-mounted. The device is released in the following colors: Midnight Black, Sky Blue, Polar Silver and Moonstone Silver.
