2021 has begun. Two of the hottest lower range smartphone choices for Android fans right now are Xiaomi Poco M3 and Realme Narzo 20. These are phones that should cover all your everyday needs smoothly in the long-run at some of the lowest possible prices. This includes fine gaming, internet browsing, decently eye-pleasing quality photo and video capturing, up to date design and beginner-level robust build quality. Xiaomi and Realme both are some of the most preferred brands in Bangladesh right now and both of these devices come with competitive and attractive specifications. The first major difference is in the price. Poco M3 will cost you about BDT 1,000 more. That’s quite a lot for those who are on a tight budget already. But, there is this saying, “no pain, no gain”. There is a reason why Poco M3 is more expensive, however, on top of that, we can see that Xiaomi is offering some very strong features for just BDT 1,000 more. This is the most important factor in this whole comparison.
It starts with the display. Poco M3 comes with a Full HD+ display protected by a Gorilla Glass 3. Narzo 20 has just a regular HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 3 also. Next comes the chipset. Xiaomi’s Snapdragon 662 will provide slightly better gaming performance as well as higher battery life though it’s better optimization than Realme’s Helio G85 chipset according to AnTuTu Benchmark Scores. Both phones have a 6000 mAh battery and 18W fast charging but Xiaomi goes ahead because of its chipset. Note that, the Full HD+ display of Poco M3 will consume more battery but of course, you can turn the resolution down while playing games or watch content to save battery.
When it comes to the camera, again, Poco M3 beats Narzo 20 quite clearly. Xiaomi came with much better image processing capability with more vibrant colors, color accuracy and sharpness. Poco M3 also has much better sound quality with dual speakers and 24-bit/192kHz audio.
So, overall, Narzo 20 is still an amazing smartphone at its price. But if you want a real upgrade in 2021 with a focus in the long-run and have something more robust ad classy, invest the extra BDT 1,000 and go for Poco M3.
