Xiaomi officially released the long-awaited Xiaomi 17 series in China on 25 September 2025, with three models, namely, Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. Each of the three devices is the first to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset which offers high-quality performance. Xiaomi refers to the 17 as its most potent standard flagship, and the 17 Pro as a pocket-sized imaging powerhouse.
On the top, there is the 17 Pro Max that is the highest point of the Xiaomi imaging technology that has the high-end Leica-tuned cameras. Xiaomi also launched the Pad 8 line during the same event that the smartphones were launched, and this added to its line of high-end products.
