Symphony Z60 Plus review

This review was written after analyzing its features as well as evaluating hands-on video review/s by trustworthy reviewer/s.

Symphony Z60 Plus is one of the best smartphones Symphony Mobile has ever released without any doubt. It is also one of the best low-budget smartphones of all time regarding a few features. It costs only ৳11,990 in the Bangladeshi market. So, let us see its main features.

Design and build

First, we thought the backside was made of glass. It looks like the glass is quite glossy and shiny. But it’s plastic. It has an almost mirror-like effect. It must be some material with the color which makes it look so premium. Speaking of color, the device comes in two different colors, Reflective Blue and metallic silver. The design is gorgeous given its price. There is a center punch-hole front camera design. It’s 8.65 mm thick and weighs 190 grams. There is no dust, splash, or water resistance. There is also no display protection such as Gorilla Glass.

Display

The display is a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS one. It’s like any other normal display around this price and nothing extraordinary. But we have a 90Hz refresh rate which is a huge advantage in a budget phone like this. The brightness under sunlight is decent and sufficient.

Symphony Z60 Plus features

Camera

There is a 50 MP main back camera and an 8 MP front camera. These are adequate low-budget cameras and you can’t complain much. But given all the other features of this phone, we expected the cameras to be a little better. especially the shots from the front camera look a bit artificial with plenty of soft tone and also the background blur is a bit too much. Both cameras can capture Full HD videos without any stabilization. The back camera has slow-mo., time lapse etc. features.

Battery and Performance

The 5000 mAh battery comes with an 18W charger. Most phones will still offer you just a 10W charger for this cost. But from a phone like Symphony Z60 Plus, we expected an 18W charger and Symphony Mobile did not disappoint us. However, there is Android 12 and we expected Android 13 which is perhaps its major drawback.

The phone offers a strong Unisoc T616 chipset with an Antutu score of 266890. This is a great deal in this budget range. On top of that, we are getting 6 GB RAM. Most phones will offer you a maximum Unisoc T606 with 4 GB RAM. So, we have a real power boost here. You will see it in real-time when you play any game such as PUBG, Freefire, Call of Duty, or any other popular game like these. The performance should be butter-smooth without any lag whatsoever. It is also great for multitasking.

Storage, Connectivity and Others

There is 128 GB of uMCP5 internal storage. uMCP5 is equivalent to UFS 3.1 which makes it one of the fastest storage in the market. Even in many flagship phones, you’ll get a lower UFS 2.2 storage. Symphony wins big time here and definitely deserves a big compliment for this.

We have all regular connectivity features including dual SIM, FM Radio and USB Type-C. There are so-called Super Box speakers for better sound quality, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a dedicated MicroSD slot and so on. There is no E-Compass sensor which is one of its minor drawbacks.
