Should you buy the iPhone 15 or 15 Plus? Here is what we found out

Here we are talking about the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus regular models and not the Pro models which are iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The regular models cost less. They are also simpler in terms of look, feel and features. Of course, if you want the best, you should just check out the Pro versions. But let’s stick to the regular versions Here.
Apple iPhone 15 and 15 Plus: What’s the difference?
The first thing you should know is that the main difference between these two phones is their display size, body size, weight and battery. It’s basically because of the bigger display, the Plus phone had to be bigger and it also needed a bigger battery because bigger displays consume more battery and it increased the size and weight of the phone. Apart from that everything else is more or less the same.
What’s the difference between these models and the Pro Models?
Well, the Pro models are on a whole different level. You get much better build quality, display, chipset, performance, camera, style, look, usability, and essentially almost everything. In Pro models, you get Titanium frames and here you have aluminum frames. Here you get the A16 Bionic chipset and the Pros are coming with the new A17 Pro chipset. There is also no action button in the 15 and 15 Plus model which is a huge disadvantage for us and a bunch of other stuff are missing. There is no comparison, really.
What’s different than last year’s iPhone 14 and 14 Plus?
Yes, here you are going to be a winner. This year you have the Dynamic Island notch in the regular models. Last year they were only in the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The same goes for the chipset. It is upgraded from the A15 Bionic to the A16 Bionic which was used for 14 Pro and Max versions only.
Then you are getting a 48 MP main back camera which was 12 MP last year. The quality is definitely better. Then you have the new manual portrait mode where you can edit a photo to manually set focus and portrait mode which is a great feature. Last but not least, the display is also brighter. Oh, and the battery is a bit bigger but they charge the same as last year, 0-50% in 30 minutes so, we don’t know if the battery performance improved or the charging technology.
Verdict
Yes, if you compare with the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus from the previous year, you should consider these new models. But if you want the best phone right now, go for no less than the 15 Pro Max.
