Samsung Bangladesh brings its new A-series smartphone Samsung Galaxy A24. The phone is priced at ৳37,999 for the 8/128 GB model.
Ok, first of all, this is a 4G smartphone. We don’t recommend 4G phones anymore which will cost you above 30K. We see 38K is quite overpriced for a 4G phone. You can find a bunch of OnePlus 5G phones around this price. Even from Realme, Vivo, Xiaomi and so on. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is coming with a similar pricing. But let’s see what else it has to offer.
The design looks decent. But let’s be honest, it’s still average. There is no punch-hole, no Gorilla Glass, a full plastic body, and the back camera design is already old. For this price, it’s nothing extraordinary. But we have a 6.5 inches 90Hz Super AMOLED Full HD display which is one of its main features and we give it a fine mark.
We have a Helio G99 chipset. It is a good mid-range chipset which means for under 30K phones. For this cost, the chipset is slow, it’s just what it is. You are just paying extra bucks because the name of the brand is Samsung, that’s all. You are still getting the standard Android 13. There is no fancy iOS that belongs only to Apple so, they make crazy prices. We don’t really see any logic behind this price hike in Samsung phones. This is surely one of the major reasons for the decreasing popularity of this brand in Bangladesh.
Let’s come to the camera. 50 MP main back camera. We have OIS, f/1.8 aperture, 5 MP ultrawide lens. It’s not that bad. It’s okay. But then, no 4K recording. The 13 MP front camera is simply not doing the job. Way too low quality at this cost level.
Among other features, we got a 5000 mAh battery, 25W fast charging facility, side-mounted fingerprint sensor and so on.
