Vivo’s lower budget Y series has always been popular in the Bangladeshi market. They come with a distinctive Vivo design and some fine specs. Vivo Y11 (2019) was one of their most popular Y series phones in the country. At the moment we have a few latest, up-to-date Vivo Y series phones in the market. They are Y1s (৳8,990), Y12s (৳11,990), Y20 2021 (৳14,990), Y20G (৳17,990), Y51 (৳21,990)

Vivo Y1s (৳8,990)

It is the lowest-priced Vivo phone in the market right now. There is a fine 13 MP f/2.2 aperture back camera, 5 MP front camera, a 6.22 inches HD+ display, a 4030 mAh battery with no fast charging, a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset with 2 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM and a dedicated MicroSD slot. There is no fingerprint sensor. Android 10 is running the phone.

Vivo Y12s (৳11,990)

It is currently one of the most popular Y series smartphones, mostly because of the pricing. The 3/32 GB variant was launched in Bangladesh. There is a decent dual 13+2 MP back camera and a fine 8 MP f/1.8 aperture front camera. The 5000 mAh battery support 10W Fast Charging as well as 5W reverse charging which is a fine advantage of the phone. It comes with the same Helio P35 chipset. Here we have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Y20 2021 (৳14,990)

Y20 2021 is the successor of the Vivo Y20 of last year. However, we have to say that last year’s Y20 is a much better choice. If you compare the specs, the Y20 from last year had a better Snapdragon 460 chipset and 18W fast charging for ৳13,990. This years Y20 2021 comes with a lower Helio P35 chipset and 10W Fast Charging for ৳14,990. This is a downgrade at a higher price. Both phones are also running on the same Android 10. Which is one reason why last year’s Y20 is still much more popular than this one.

Y20G (৳17,990)

This is another device that failed to impress us. We are getting a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset and HD+ display, Triple 13+2+2 MP back camera and 8 MP front camera for ৳17,990 which is simply unacceptable. There are many phones in the market with way better specs. In fact, most latest phones from other top brands will offer you better specs. Just to name a few, there is Samsung Galaxy M12, Xiaomi Redmi 9T, Realme 7i and Motorola Moto G9 Play with overall better configuration than Vivo Y20G.

Y51 (৳21,990)

Now, we are happy to mention that this is one of the finer Vivo phones. We have a proper Full HD+ display, a triple 48+8+2 MP back camera, a 16 MP front camera, Snapdragon 662 chipset with 8 GB RAM, Android 11, 128 GB ROM, 5000 mAh battery with 18W Vivo FlashCharge. You could expect an AMOLED display instead of IPS LCD and a Gorilla Glass protection on the front seeing the price. But let’s be happy with it for now seeing the condition of some of the above-mentioned devices at the moment. The design, especially the back camera setup looks somewhat unique and nice which is a plus point as well.
