Oppo Bangladesh has announced the new Oppo F17 release for Bangladesh. The announcement comes just a few days after the launch of F17 Pro. The main difference between these two phones is that the Pro version comes with a faster MediaTek Helio P95 chipset whereas the regular F17 comes with a slower Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset. The camera quality is also lower here compared to the Pro model. Specs-wise, these are some of the main differences.
One of the major interesting facts about Oppo F17 is that it comes with a different kind of design. Surprisingly, there is a waterdrop notch display instead of a more trendy hole-punch. But the finish of the backside looks quite stylish, elegant and one of a kind. This sort of reminds us of Apple iPhone SE 2020 for some reason. The body is just 7.5mm thin and the Oppo logo on the back gives a sense of style that is not matched to other phones but it’s nothing super-premium. There is “leather-feel” to the back, but its most certainly not genuine leather.
The 6.44 inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED display is protected by a 3rd gen. Gorilla Glass. A Gorilla Glass 5 would have been more suitable. But still, It’s better than not having protection at all. It has 600 nits max. brightness which is great for outdoor visibility. The camera is not particularly amazing especially because there is no 4K video recording option. But the quality of the still image is quite satisfactory. Furthermore, we have a fine Sony IMX471 sensor for the front camera which is great.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 is not among the strong mid-range chipsets at this point. But there is 8 GB of RAM and overall gaming shouldn’t be an issue. But this is not a device for dedicated intense gamers. There are better options on the market.
The 4015 mAh battery will charge 0 to 100% in just about 53 minutes with the 30W VOOC Fast Charger. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor.
