Vivo Bangladesh brings its new Y series smartphone Vivo Y36. The device is priced at ৳26,999 for its 8/128 GB model which puts this phone in our mid-range category.
The design of the Vivo Y36 looks classy and excellent. We have an IPX4-certified waterproof body which is one of its main features. You won’t find many waterproof smartphones around this price point. It’s also just 8.1 mm slim. There is a 6.64 inches Full HD+ 90Hz display. However, there is no Gorilla Glass protection or AMOLED quality. We have a regular IPS LCD screen which is some of its drawbacks considering its cost.
The 50 MP main camera is generally good. But the colors are a bit on the warmer side. There is no ultrawide lens or 4K video recording which are some disadvantages as well. On the other hand, we have a special dual exposure mode for taking more creative shots. The front camera is 16 MP and can capture satisfactory shots.
The 5000 mAh battery comes with a powerful 44W charger which is one of the main advantages of the phone. We have 8 GB RAM with 8 GB virtual RAM. The chipset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (6 nm) which is way behind the pricing. You will find better chipsets under 20K budget in many of the phones. This is by no means a phone for mobile gamers or for processing any kind of other powerful graphics apps. On the bright side, there should not be any heating issues.
Among other features, we have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 128 GB internal storage, a dedicated MicroSD slot, 24-bit/192kHz audio, USB Type-C, NFC and so on.
