There was a time, when Nokia ruled the world of mobile phones. Before android and Apple/iOS smartphones came in the market, Nokia released many models which made record in terms of sales. Then first came BlackBerry smartphones, followed by android phones from various brands and iOS and Microsoft also joined the competition with Windows Phone. Nokia decided to make a contract with Microsoft and produce Windows phone although Google’s android was on top of the game. All of a sudden, no one was interested in Nokia phones and eventually after few years of constant loss, Nokia sold its phone patent to Microsoft. Nokia Lumia phones became Microsoft Lumia. Microsoft also could make much gain out of it.
After a couple of years, now in 2017, Nokia has decided to produce android phones as their contract with Microsoft has already expired. They have released 3 smartphones named Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. They have also decided to give rebirth to one of its old feature phones. Nokia 3310 was already released many years ago. Now, they are re-releasing it with a completely new outlook and changes in features to match modern day needs. Although feature phones are not that popular anymore like 12-13 years ago. But there is still a decent demand of it in present time and almost the majority (at least in Bangladesh) still believe that, Nokia is the best brand to produce feature phones.
Nokia 6 is a premium android smartphone with 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, 16 + 8 MP camera, android Nougat 7.1, metal body, fingerprint sensor and 5.5 inch large display. Nokia 6 also has a special black edition with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM.
Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are more of mid-range phones. Both have 16 GB ROM and 2 GB RAM, 8 MP selfie camera, android Nougat 7.1 OS etc. Nokia 5 has 13 MP back camera and 5.2 inch display and fingerprint sensor. Whereas, Nokia 3 has 5 inch display and 8 MP back camera and no fingerprint sensor.
The new Nokia 3310 2017 version comes with 2 MP back camera with flash and 1700 mAh battery. It has the old school snake game pre-installed in it.
