Today on 13th February 2018, four mobile operators were qualified to receive a 4G license in Bangladesh. They are Robi, Grameenphone, Banglalink, and state-owned Teletalk. The first three operators will offer 4G network as soon as it is available countrywide. Teletalk may need some more time for technical settlement. The Bangladeshi government will receive 5,000 crore Taka tax from Grameenphone and Banglalink for 4G bandwidth. Robi decided to go for net neutrality and use their own signal for bandwidth.
Many 3G users are complaining in social media that the 3G network is not working accurately yet. There are often network issues or speed issues. So, many of them are not expecting much from a faster 4G connection as it may not provide the expected speed. Here to mention that Bangladesh has one of the lowest internet speed in the world. The neighboring country India has the internet speed of a first world country.
